Con: the controller gets a little warmer than other heated blankets and throws I have had in the past. Admittedly I have this on almost the highest setting but Do not leave this on a non-solid surface unattended! Pros: Great blanket. Color is good and uniform. No odd smell. Breathable soft and large enough to cover all of me in any position while I lay on the couch. It is warm without the heat on. It works well. I just wish the heating was through the entire blanket and not just the main part. It is really soft inside and outside. So far so good. I have had this on my bed now for over a week. It has a sherpa side which would be great for a throw but if you want a fancy looking bed, might detract. I love that the settings has 1-8 hours auto turn off. So I can turn it on for an hour to preheat before going to bed and it will be warm and cozy. Or I can turn it on low for 8 hours if I want a little warmth throughout the night. The heat adjustments start at low and go up to 9 then high. It provides the perfect amount of heat and if on high, will be to much for sleeping (great for preheating you bed though). Easy set up and great coverage for the size (goes over the edges of the bed). I got the queen. I think you get a great product for the price. I was hoping to get one at costco but they didn't carry heating blankets this year so I scrambled to find one under $100. This one has been a winner. ... show more

I purchased a double bed size for a queen bed as I only wanted one controller. I think that a queen size would be better if 2 people share a bed. So far though, it’s good for just me. It heats up fast when preheating and I like the Sherpa side very much. The lowest setting is enough for overnight. Maybe it will have to be higher as the outside temp stays below freezing. My main complaint is the 8 hour shut off time. I would prefer a longer time or to be able to disable it, as I usually am in bed longer to read or watch tv. I don’t like that the buttons aren’t lit, so I had to get used to finding them in the dark. I also dislike the wire continuing from the controller to the wall plug. The older blankets that I recall had a separate wire going to the wall that made the controls easier to keep nearby. However overall I am glad for the purchase and would recommend it. ... show more

Past blankets have been small, I'm usually having to choose between my feet or my shoulders to warm up. This blanket is much bigger than those past throws. I am 5'4" and the heated part of the blanket covers me top of head to bottom of feet with room to spare! It heats up quickly and stays warm. It will shut off after 8 hours (or less if you set it) so there is no risk of forgetting to turn it off! It is so lightweight that I plan on taking it on vacation with me over the holidays! 10 out of 10! ... show more

I bought this for therapeutic use. I have multiple joint issues that would require several heating pads to keep the joints warmed up and working. This took care of all of that in one device. The material is very soft and comfortable and gets VERY hot. The only challenge is cleaning. It must be hand washed and stretched back to shape after each cleaning. the electrical connector is in a bit of a strange place, but you can work around it. The control cord is very long. While the blanket is soft and warms up quickly, it does not keep the settings for heat and time when turned off. Each time it is turned on it reverts to the lowest heat and maximum five settings. It is an inconvenience.
