Bought this in 2022 for my steel storage container that I use as a shed. Ran electric to the shed, drilled a small hole and ran a pipe out for a drain, set the unit to a humidity level of 35%, and let it work. And work, it has. It has been in continual use since 2022 (it’s Aug 2026 as I write this) and not once have I had an issue with it. Prior to this I frequently had mold and bug issues in the box as it seals up pretty good. Since installing this unit it keeps the humidity around 40% or less, even in summer, which is practically a miracle where I live in Florida and near a lake. I’m writing a review now because it has been so many years and this unit single handedly made my storage container a safe place to store my tools and things that our Florida humidity just destroys. It is no louder than a typical window or floor AC unit. With the drain line rigged up to pass through the floor, I never have to empty the container. The only maintenance it needs is to occasionally blow accumulated dust from the filter. Hands down one of the best investments for getting the most use from a steel storage container if you have to store things that are susceptible to humidity damage, like audio equipment, books, home decor, and tools that you don’t want to get contact rust on. Absolutely a must buy! The only thing I would do differently today is maybe go for one that can be monitored with an app over WiFi, but this has been great as far as “set it and forget it” goes!

I added another Star =5 Stars after hurricanes Helene, Milton and then the Central A/C Intake started breaking down and leaking inside our unit. This Dehumidifier really worked and worked constantly, day and night 24/7. You set the humidity level and it will shut itself off when that level is attained. Durning these hurricanes t helped keep the humidity down to an acceptable level and kept everything cool and relitivley dry. With two hurricanes almost back to back, 150 tornados landing in 24 hours all over Florida and torential rain outside for weeks, we were concerned but also felt very blessed and sad for many people and pets who lost their homes. We were very fortiunate to have electric/power to run this Dehumidifierl; and we had some peace of mind to have this Dehumidifier working in the background. It won't stop a hurricane, from blowing off your roof, it will not stop storm surge or rain, but it keeps the humidity inside your home at a more, healthy and comfortable level and it also kept the the central AC (that was breaking down), running dry cold air, until we could replace it a few weeks later. The humidity inside our unit never went over 57% to 63%, and it dropped down to 44% to 51% witin 3-4 days even as it contiued raining, non stop outside. Bottom line: We set the humidity at 50% and just leave it. It protected expensive Guitars and musical instruments that we placed in their cases and Gig bags We had to empty the water every 1.5 to 2.5 hours, but ithat's to be expected when taking so much moisture out of the air in a 1,200 square foot space. It really passed the Test during the toughest of times. Its also very easy to clean and maintain. If you're living in the south east or by an ocean or a lake, it's certainly worth the investment. Past Review : 4 Stars...We reley on this Dehumidifier so we got the maximum extended warranty. It's a necessary investment you should consider for your health, the health of your family and animals in your home; A Dehumididfier is a MUST HAvE for your guitars and all other stringed instuments when you live in more extreme humid climates. We wish we had purchased this Dehumidfier sooner. It can be noisey but even the central AC is louder and drowns it out. You can dispose of the extra moisture or water from the Dehumidifier in the tiolet, utility sink or bath tub. It doesn't smell; and it also takes some strain off of your central AC by adding another dryer function which keeps AC running cool. It works well with central AC and heatin and we have humidity and tempeture gauges in every room. The filter is easy to find. The alarm will light up RED when the water bucket is full or the Filter needs to be cleaned. t has a low beep. The Dehumidifer Filter on this unit can be removed to be cleaned with a small old brush. There are different Dehumifier sizes to accomadate the size of your home or condo unit. We have the Unit for 1500 square feet for a large 2/2. If you have a two story home or Town house you might want to consider getting the larger unit or invest in two Dehumidifiers. The only reason we gave 4 stars is because we alled Customer Support to get a quick run down for setup and we were disappointed in their lack of product knowledge.

I'm living in super humid South Florida and have to deal with lots of mold and mildew issues due to the fact that my A/C alone can't filter out all the humidity in the air. Every time I cook, take a shower, run the dryer, the indoor humidity level jumps up into the undesired "high" area and there's no way of "airing it out" since opening the windows makes it jump even higher (into 80-90% humidity). So a dehumidifier had to be bought in order to deal with this issue since mold and mildew are not only bad for one's furniture and walls but they're also a major health concern for allergic people. That being said, I love the job this dehumidifier is doing! It was delivered in an upright position as it requires per the print on the box. To be on the safe side, I got it out of the box/packaging and let it sit for about 3 days - much longer than required but I wanted to make sure it had time to "settle in". Once it was hooked up, it brought the humidity down to 60% (from around 80%) within a few hours and later went into the low 50s. I run it continuously in "comfort" mode (see heart icon on the machine). The only thing I hate is that I did not buy the bigger version since the bucket fills up about every 4 hours. This is a nuisance at night since the rather loud beeping has me get up every 4 hrs to empty the bucket. Unfortunately, using a hose is not feasible for me since I'm using it in the bedroom. The noise level of the machine took me a while to get used to as well. For example, I have to put my tablet's volume to almost max in order to hear sufficiently...and my ears are rather on the sensitive side. So if you're noise sensitive, this unit is not for you unless you're able to adjust and ignore it. For those who love white noise, I'd say it's perfect. My hubby loves it while I would prefer a lower noise profile but I understand that compressors hardly run silent. I've seen in other reviews that people seem to have had issues with emptying the bucket. I'm not sure why they have issues, to be honest. It is rather simple and easy. I just pull out the upper area first, kind of tilting it outwards, then grab the convenient handle and pull out the whole thing. I haven't spilled a drop, not once. However, I've noticed that the unit itself sometimes keeps on dripping water while it should be on hold for bucket exchange. That part I don't fancy so much. Also, I've noticed the coils looking a bit "messed up" (see picture) but this does not effect the efficiency of my unit. I'm writing this review after 2 months of use since I wanted to make sure I know what I'm talking about before submitting one. So far, so good and I hope it will continue this way. I still might get the bigger version in the future in order to enjoy a good night's rest. I recommend this dehumidifier and hope you found my review helpful :)

I have now bought the 30, 50 and 70 pint models. These are relatively quiet, the hygrometer is accurate and it really takes the moisture out quickly. They are efficient so we replaced our old energy-hog ones with these figuring they'll pay for themselves within 2 yrs, as long as they hold up. If they die before then, it's not a deal. The 30 & 50 we dump the reservoir, and since said reservoirs are on the small side compared to the older style, plain janeturn the knob ones that I had from years ago, it's a pain to dump them so often. The 70 we drain with a hose in an unfinished basement so not an issue. The physical size of the 50 & 70 are large so you'd think they'd have a big bucket too. Wink-wink. Not so. Disappointingly small. WARNING! My biggest irritation and a WARNING to those who will put this on wood, laminate, carpet or other porous flooring is IT LEAKS. I thought it was just my 50 pint, but it also does this with the 30 we recently bought. Even if I do not roll it or attempt to remove the bucket, if I lift it straight up (the 30 pt) there will be a small puddle -maybe a tablespoon, underneath the unit. If you roll it or move it to remove the bucket it seems like more. I use plastic trays under these since I have them on hardwood. Even a tablespoon of water will damage your flooring if you don't notice it and it soaks in. Even though these work well compared to a Soleus brand (inaccurate hygrometer & sounded like a freight train carrying bees) I tried from a local big box and returned, for the cost it's unbelievable to me that they do this. I thought it was a fluke the first couple times it leaked, but with two units that do it, it has to be a design or manufacturer flaw. As the 70 pint is on porous concrete and hose drained I've not regularly moved or checked it to see if it leaks. I don't really care on concrete. It's possible it only does it when the reservoir fills and not with the hose method. Minor complaint: the idiot who decided to put a big white and red assembly sticker prominently on the front of the unit that adheres so well the residual glue wouldn't come off even during a nuclear meltdown or a bath of hydrofloric acid.

Works Great! Quiet. The app for the dehumidifier is great to have you can control everything from the app. The pump is nice I don't have to empty the bucket and pumps directly into my sink. The Wi-Fi works perfectly. It's very easy to move around with the caster wheels.

Have had it running in my basement for 4 years and still works. I have a hose hooked up to drain it so I never have to empty the bucket. It is loud, but all dehumidifiers are in my experience

3+ year update: I love this unit! Updated to a 5 star review due to having zero issues with this machine. It’s still running great! I use it almost every day all day long. My cats are constantly jumping on it and pressing the buttons, plus I have a 6 year old who’s been known to mess with it (it’s now covered in orange crayon) but it keeps on going! When this unit goes out, I’ll be buying the same brand again. Thank you! I’ve had this for 3 months now. It started off a little rocky... the first unit I received didn’t work. It wouldn’t light up, make noise, or do anything. I called the customer support number and they shipped me a new unit within minutes. The new unit works great, (remember to allow it to sit upright outside the box for 24 hours before plugging in). My house is 888 sq feet, I live in Western WA and it’s our “rainy season”. I usually dump the water once a day unless there’s a serious storm, then it’ll need emptied twice a day. It holds about a gallon of water, it fills up to about an inch from the top (I’ve never spilt the water when emptying, but then again, I am careful 🙄). I haven’t noticed an increase in my energy bill, which is great since it’s running constantly, and my windows are no longer covered with condensation. It’s not loud, but I do turn it off sometimes to watch a movie. The intake is on the back of the unit, the directions say to keep it away from the wall, so I simply turned my unit around so the fronts facing the wall 🤷♀️, this made more sense to me. This does mean I have to move the unit to empty the water bucket, but like I said, I’ve never had a spillage problem. All in all, I really like this unit and it does work really well. Though I do wish I would have bought the larger unit for my climate.

We have a couple rooms in our house that have been storing things for almost 10 years and we have not turn the heat on in there in the last couple years or so, so, a lot of moisture has eventually accumulated in all the clothes and books and furniture and carpet. We started to show mildew on the exterior walls and in the closets which has been a big drag throwing out things or laundering things slowly removing everything from the room possible but what’s left is the furniture and the carpet and the books so I wanted to try a dehumidifier . First, I had bought another company a small one that was designed to work for the square footage of my room, but it took a few days to get like a cup of water. But with this model, holy Toledo! With in less than six hours, it pulled out 22 pints of water. I bought the model that was designed to work in a 1500 square-foot area and I put two of them in each of the bedrooms that were barely 10 x 10 and for days upon days they each pulled out 22 pints of water, I was changing them twice a day for over a week once I got it down to finally 35% humidity and even lower I just continually ran them it took longer to pull more water out of the air but it made me feel like I was really pulling water out of the carpet and the books and the furniture … It’s really important to me to really dry out those rooms so that mildew will be kept under control. I plan to remove my carpet and treat some of the furniture. I also bought a mildew bomb from the bio side company, be sure to follow instructions properly! Require special air scrubber after killing mildew, because dead mildew spores are still toxic to humans. Going to clean the walls with hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. Still learning how I can clean the furniture without ruining the finish, but this dehumidifier is amazingly high-quality especially at a time where most people are used to buying things that aren’t Madewell and we get so disappointed . You will not be disappointed with this item. I absolutely love it. No doubt when it starts raining moisture will try to move back in to my home but at least I will start from scratch with a very very dry room, L O L not like I want to live in 35° humidity unless of course I want to prematurely wrinkle , lol be sure to drink a lot of water if you’re using these things for a while… Well, heck drink water every day your body should be 70% water or health problems will happen. Wow, that’s a lot of words and a lot of subjects but I hope you enjoyed it, I can’t say enough about this product and the fact that it actually does pull water out of the air quickly that other little tiny dehumidifier I bought as a joke unless of course you want to burn up a bunch of electricity and run it in a tiny little closet . I’ll be selling it at my garage sale.
