I use these gloves for just about anything in the house. I primarily use it for lengthy cleaning tasks involving a lot of water and rinsing (cat fountains or litter boxes), and I also use this for daily cooking or prep tasks to ensure I am not inviting any cross-contamination. I keep a box in the kitchen and one downstairs for all the cleaning tasks, and what I really love about them is the subtle texture on the finger tips which makes gripping items much easier! I have yet to have them rip or tear on me and due to the thickness, I would imagine it would take a lot of poking or intentional tearing to get them to that point. $8 a box for mechanic-type nitrile gloves is pretty crazy. I used to pay twice that for gloves that weren't as good. They're nice and thick and don't tear easily. No idea how chemical resistant they are but for normal stuff they're great.
