This is exactly what I was looking for. The packaging was a little bizarre and I was worried that the light would be damaged but it did arrive safely. I had the same issue as another reviewer, where some of the lock nuts do not twist past a certain point, but because they include multiple rods for the diffuser (again, no idea why because only one length works properly) with multiple lock nuts, I was able to find 2 that would thread properly. The cord is also really high quality, not just a cheap flat little cord. We did end up using a cord runner/cable raceway so we can’t even see it now, but at least I know it’s got a solid cord, and would look decent even without the cable hider. I’d love to buy a couple more of these because I live in a 1950s house with no ceiling lights (only one small sconce in each room), but the price is a little tough to justify buying more, so it’ll probably be a while before I can reorder. Id recommend this light if you’re in the same situation as me and have the money to spend. It looks nice and gives off a great amount of light. ... show more

The bolt is too long and the diffuser hands too low, making the entire light crooked. The inner hardware is decent enough quality and it was easy to install.

As described, but gave it 4 stars because assembly is a little awkward, but installing the entire light is very easy. The best thing is that it's very bright for a dark spot because it hold 2 lightbulbs, 150W maximum each. The shortest rod for the diffuser I couldn't get the locking nuts to fit and still pit the washer and decorative knob on to stabilize it. It works fine but is not set up how I was instructed.

I was expecting a larger unit but it does the job and lights up my baby room well once the bulbs have warmed up. The diffuser is nice and I like knowing my baby’s eyes won’t be starting up directly into the light. This is mounted in the center of an 11 x 11 room painted with white walls. If you have darker paint, I’m not sure how the lighting will look. Does well will with my white walls though! I kind of feel like the price is a bit steep but honestly I couldn’t find a 2 bulb swag lamp with a neutral shade for less sooooo... ... show more

I live in an apartment without overhead lighting, so this swag light was just right. It's stylish, the diffuser protects your eyes from the garish light and look of naked bulbs, and the hardware and cord are high quality and well designed (not simply an S-hook/hook -- instead the round, braided electric cord fits neatly into a groove of a cord and screw housing, which hides the inner hardware).
