Gets the job done. We needed a hassock for our couch as the recliners quit working. This piece is the right level for resting your feet and quilted on top so it is soft. The flat side can be put right against the couch so it takes up little space but can also be moved away and used as a coffee table in front of the couch. It is sturdy and well made. The storage is great and we put all our TV controls in it, blanket, pens, laptop etc. so as to be out of site but immediately accessable if needed. Great storage that opens and closes. Wouldn't change a thing about this and am thinking of buying another one to place at the foot of my bed. Edited: Just like the review below, the middle button fell off within 24 hours. The remedy is to hot glue the circular button material to the top of button, slowly hot glue material around the button and under it. Then hot glue button into the space. Hope they don't all pop off as I love this ottoman.

This is so beautiful in my daughter's room it'd next to a queen size bed. It's very big lots of space inside. The velvet feels great and is so comfortable to sit on in the room for extra seating and yes it's sturdy. The price listed is very reasonable considering size and quality. We get many compliments on it. Bed and bedding were purchased with Amazon as well : -)

I love it alot but it is very lightweight n seems easily breakable like you can stand on it but if you're over 130 maybe not the best idea sorry it's just for sitting anyway and if you need to like push it out of the way for whatever reason on a floor like carpet or anything with no slack the feet will get caught and could break the part that screws in the tops opens nicely and stays open when needed I wouldn't slam it shut cuz the screws can bend outta place BUT OVER ALL FOR WHAT I NEED IT FOR TO JUST SIT THERE N LOOK PRETTY ITS PERFECT I have it on the side of my bed as a step stool for my elevated bed it's like 2 feet off the ground for storage reasons n it's just find and I have all my knitting yarns in it so that's why it's fine for me n I try to add as much information as possible for someone that may been something more sturdy

Hard to choose the color but went with black so I could move it to another window in another room if I want. This footstool looks great! Nice area to sit on. I have placed it under a window in my bedroom so I can curl up, read a book and look outside ... or when it gets a little dryer, open the window and just enjoy the view. The storage space is good sized. I can slip a twin sized fluffy blanket in there and still have room for other items. Just need it for the blanket though. My roommate, who is really picky, really likes the look of the room now. He says its very inviting. :)

The media could not be loaded. How about this originally to help the Yorkies get up and down off the bed it has a storage inside. You can’t store a lot of stuff but enough to like a blanket or two it also does not have easy clothes so when you open it, you gotta close it gently, but it looks good. I like it, very elegant.

This is a nice storage ottoman. The shape is unique and it was available in a variety of colors. It fits nicely at the foot of my queen bed. My only complaint is that the hinge doesn’t allow the top to “stay up” on its own without being held open. The hinge is hidden in the inside, which I like. I saw a very similar ottoman in a store after I bought this one online that had a lid that WOULD stay open without support, but it did cost considerably more money.
