The seat is like maybe 1/4 inch thick flimsy plastic with really thin padding. I only weigh 160 lbs. and when I sit on it flexes down where I sit and the front lifts up off the toilet. Garbage. Do not waste your time. This is a flimsy piece of garbage. It is barely more sturdy than the $6 one I bought at Ollies that I am replacing. I bought 2 and had to keep one because I was replacing the flimsy one that was already broke.
