Overall, I am very pleased with this Pilates reformer. I am new to Pilates, so I have had to watch some videos to learn how to use this product, but I feel I can give a very helpful, informative review. The instructions did not include diagrams of exercises, so I watch videos online to help ensure I am doing the movements properly for safety and effectiveness to help me get started. This low to no-impact machine is an extremely versatile, powerful tool for increased circulation, balance, and strength throughout the body--especially the core. The travel distance of the slide is only about 18.5", though, and me being 6' with a 6'3" wingspan, I would benefit from a system with more travel, allowing more room to get proper extension. However, with proper placement of the pad, approach, and distance to the machine, I feel I can still get the movement I need. I like the boards being separate so they can be placed at different widths and angles unlike fixed boards, that are just parallel, the same distance apart, and running in the same direction. Separation opens up the door to other exercises. This separated board system, despite these advantages, loses a little in stability of the foundation, though. I put an object between the boards to help ensure they are the same distance apart that I want and to help them stay parallel and more stable through the movements. The knee pad, at just under 14" wide, could be a little wider for my bigger body type. The hand grips, themselves, for the bands, do not detach from the bands to be attached to the board for fixed hand grabs. It would be nice if the boards could be attached when placed together for more stability. The non-slip feet under the boards are effective on wood floors and short, low carpet. Seems a little shifty on plusher carpet without a mat. This device is easy to store requiring very little space. I have enjoyed doing the exercises I have watched online, but I have enjoyed exploring exercises of my own even more. I have found that any exercise requiring one foot on each pad at the same time with nothing else touching the floor, even just to walk, is not for me--and that's okay. I imagine not every exercise you can do on these is ideal for everyone. But I have found numerous exercises that I like very, very much. I noticed that when using the twist-in to attach stretch bands, they feel much more secure when placed in the holes closest to the pads. After my first guided Pilates workout, which was with this machine, I feel both invigorated and relaxed, like after swimming, and my back, which has many problems, can easily tolerate every exercise I have done so far without any additional soreness. If anything, it is benefitting from many of the exercises, as they tend to really strengthen the core. I also feel primed for a deep meditation afterward which was a nice surprise. I can see myself investing in a more advanced, stable, fixed, home system in the future that will cost more and have some added features and comfort, but for the money, this accommodates a plethora of exercises, is portable, safe with proper use, and a great value. This is an incredible addition to my daily, morning routine. With the winter weather almost here, this seems like the perfect time to get more acclimated to this machine and Pilates, and I am enjoying it.

I am a person who is very reluctant to engage in social activities. I prefer the comfort and security of my home. This Pilates board seems to be able to solve the problem of my home-based exercise, fitness and shaping. It's a good choice.

This Pilates reformer is amazing! It’s compact but does so much. I can do lots of different workouts with it, and it doesn’t take up a lot of room.The resistance bands are strong and easy to change, which is great for both arm and leg exercises. The balance board and push-up grips help me strengthen my core and improve balance. I’ve discovered muscles I didn’t know I had! The timer is a nice extra to help me stay on track during workouts.
