Full disclosure, I liked the shape of the knife and wanted to replicate it. I am a hobbyist knife maker and sometimes buy knives just for reference when making one for myself out of better materials. This knife is pretty dang good just like it is. It has enough weight to make melons and such no issue and is sharp enough to breeze through tomatoes'. I usually break the handles off to copy the shape easier but I will not be doing that to this one, its a keeper.

I do not know much about knives, but I wanted something so chopping and cutting veggies and herbs was a little easier and fancier so I got this guy. Sharp out of the box, comes with a sleeve guard, and just looks so pretty. They didn’t do the acid wash I think because you can’t see the design super clearly but it’s still a wonderful knife for the price. :)

There were no issues with fit and finish on the one I received. Metal and wood were perfectly flush. Cosmetically it is very attractive. The blade was less sharp than on some knives I have bought - barely able to shave a little. But who cares? The real question is how easy is it to sharpen, and how long does the edge last. I touched this one up on my manual Chefs Choice sharpener, and it took a good edge in seconds. Haven't used it long enough to test edge retention yet, but if it is really VG10 steel (which I have no reason to doubt) then it should be very durable. I doubt the wood is actually one of the rosewood species, but it is a pretty tropical hardwood. My only criticism is that the handle is a little chunky. Some folks like a beefy handle, but my wife probably won't reach for this one. I will.

It feels a tad flimsy and I worry about applying too much pressure when cutting. Still a decent knife, but just be gentle with it.

They are tremendously sturdy and well above all the others on the market..ANDDDD I've NEVER had to sharpen one!!! I can slice, even a soft tomato, with ease and no problem!! I can't describe the joy of being able to cut an orange or a tomato or a cucumber or anything so easily after enduring years of those dull knives. It's super Sharp so I appreciate the little case that comes with it so I can slide it into my drawer and grab it without worrying about getting cut. And the handle is very handy easy to grip and stylish. My next purchase will be a larger knife.
