He’s patient, protective, and determined to prove he’s not like the man who broke me. And the way he is with my daughter makes it even harder to guard my heart.Every night I spend in his bed, the slow burn between us threatens to ignite.Trusting River means risking not only my heart, but my daughter’s too. The scariest part?I’m starting to believe he might be worth it. • She's always been the endgame!
Format: Kindle
Hold Me Tight is book 2 in the Chicago Railers Hockey series and follows River & Callie's story. "She's always been the endgame. Even when she belonged to another man." River Thompson...Where do I even begin with him? Talk about playing the long game! This guy has been waiting for YEARS for his shot with Callie and when he finally does...he goes all in! He doesn't just say the right things, he actually does them! He opens his home to Callie and her daughter, protects Callie and they way he's sweet on her daughter just warms my heart! She has him wrapped around her little fingers and it's the sweetest! The slow burn chemistry is worth waiting for. He was so patient with her and made sure she knew it wasn't just the physical but the emotional attraction as well. This was a perfect heartfelt romance and I was totally here for it! If you love: Hockey Romance Single Mom Forced Proximity Slow Burn Then add this book to your TBR! p.s. I also did the audio for this book and loved both narrators! Vivienne LaRue & Grayson Owens were perfect ... show more

  • Callie & River
Format: Kindle
River and his patience with Callie is 😍😍😍. Like could not be better. He had me swooned from the start. He was definitely on it in this book. An opportunity to make Callie his arose and he didn’t think twice about it. Also, him with Nora had my previously a single mom heart melting. Callie has been through it and the hits keep coming. River’s offer to help her comes just in the knick of time. However, she knows deep down that she can only trust herself. No matter how pretty River’s words are or how handsome the man himself is. When they finally give in to one another and start becoming something more. Someone tries to take back what he always thought should have been his. ... show more

  • spoilers ahead
Format: Kindle
It was okay. H was a total unicorn boyfriend. h was not my favorite. (Possible spoilers ahead) h annoyed me because her ex-baby daddy, Zane, was a freaking millionaire, and she was just accepting that he wasn’t supporting their kid. Wut? The guy was straight up dog 💩, and when he tried to cause a 3rd act breakup in the end with his pathetic “I want you back and I can change” - this h literally had to think about it. WTF? 😳 I mean….he had a new fiancé and was living the high life, but she actually had to have her BFFs tell her, “I seriously doubt he was the one who paid off your bakery loan.” She really believed for one second that Zane paid it off? Does this woman actually have brain cells? All I can say about H is that he was perfect. He fell in love with h as soon as he saw her (she was dating his friend/teammate), and he’s been celibate for 3 years waiting on her. It’s a tad creepy that he was in love with his friend’s woman and was waiting around for her, but whatever! He’s definitely a unicorn. This book is like a Hallmark movie. Low drama, and vanilla’ish spice. I’d probably rate the spice 1.5 ⭐️ (I read a lot of dark romance, so my spice meter may be broken) Both MCs have been celibate for 3 years. No OW drama. There is OM drama, but it doesn’t amount to much. Boooo on there being no update in the epilogue on how the co-parenting is going with Zane, if Zane got married, or if Zane is still on the team. It makes me wonder if Zane may be the last book in this series. Maybe he gets a redemption arc???? ... show more

  • Love a man that pines
Format: Kindle
I'm really liking Ms. Sucevic's writing style. She somehow pairs pining and angst with a fast enough pace that I'm hooked almost immediately. I was sucked into River and Callie's romance from book one. We love a man who pines and this man, whoa boy, does he. Congratulations for making me fall for a blonde man. River is every green flag you can think of and then some. He's patient and kind and good with kids (which didn't even matter to me and he still somehow made it sexy.) Callie was the once burned, single mom. I understood her reluctance to jump in with River. My biggest issue with her was somehow not realizing what a narcissist Zane was. Like the fact she needed closure was insane to me. I will probably skip the next book because as much as I love those two characters, I don't give a hoot about a surprise baby trope. It's not my thing. ... show more

  • Quick Read
Format: Kindle
The MMC was perfect in how he showed the FMC he wasn't going anywhere. He let his actions speak for him and show her exactly how he felt. This story was just as amazing as everything else I have read by this author

  • Jennifer Sucevic Has Me Hooked
Format: Kindle
As a single mom to a 4-year-old whose dad isn’t in the picture, I was really excited to read Callie’s story and see how motherhood with a young child was handled. As a working mom who barely has time for herself half the time, I always enjoy seeing those realities woven into a romance in a way that actually feels believable. Jennifer Sucevic did such a good job with that here. I loved how supportive River was, not in an over-the-top perfect way, but in the small consistent ways that actually mattered to both Callie and Nora. The way he showed up for them honestly made me tear up multiple times. The relationship progression felt natural and never rushed, which made it so easy to get invested in them. You could genuinely picture these relationships developing the way they did. The chemistry between Callie and River was so good and I thought this book balanced emotional moments and spice really well. I also loved getting glimpses of characters from the first book and seeing everyone rally around them. At this point I’m fully obsessed with this series and already need the rest of the books immediately. ... show more

  • Sweet NHL defenseman falls for the single mom and gives her love & the feeling of home
Format: Kindle
Callie & River are so sweet! Callie had a relationship that led to a baby with Zane, he dropped her and their daughter immediately for what he felt was a better life with loads of money and reality tv offers for him as a famous nhl player hooking up with Gigi a reality star. River his Chicago Railers teammate and one time friend has been in love with Callie since she and Zane started dating. Now three years later, as a single mom trying to run a bakery in downtown Chicago, Callie is struggling to find balance and home and stability for her and her daughter Nora. River keeps showing up and showing her he wants her. When her living situation and business loan prove she doesn’t have enough to make ends meets she asks her ex to step up which he makes excuses why he can’t and why he “needs” a break from child support. River steps up with a rent free home for them, helps her with childcare, and offers the stability, safety, and feeling of home and love she has always wanted. He is so steady and patient and kind with her and Nora. They obviously have major chemistry and spice and eventually Callie’s head catches up to her body and heart and they get their HEA. It was very sweet and I’m glad Tonya e their story. I am still chilling at the hot for more Evelyn and Hugh though and I’m excited for Rina and Oliver. Enjoyed it so much! ... show more
