This bed has worked great for us! We’ve had it for a few months now. We shopped a bit, to find a good value, and I really think this is one of the best ones available. The price was good, and the quality seems excellent. It feels well-designed and well-built. We’ve had a few guests use it and it’s so easy to set up. Love that the frame is metal, which feels so sturdy. The springs (to raise/lower) feel very solid. It’s very easy for one person to raise and lower. It did take a while to install, but we expected that and the instructions were very clear. Things to note: - the cross support piece (headboard, kind of, when the bed is down) is at the standard height of US power outlets. So if you have an outlet where the bed will go, it’ll be covered. We had plenty of other outlets, but if that matters, plan ahead. We were a bit surprised only because we thought we could “hide” cords behind the bed, and now those cords are out and visible at other outlets. - this bed is *heavy* even without the mattress. I believe we’ll leave it where it is if/when we sell this house. I can’t imagine taking it down and moving it.

Oh, this is just an excellent, excellent buy!!! We followed the video amd VERY CLEAR instructions..it takes some time to put together amd Im glad I did it with a partner, but it was very clear. It is a top notch quality piece, especially for the price. The lights are a nice touch and the hydraulics for the hinge is real smooth. We tied it into the wall a bit differently than the way they had it, but their way works great, just needed to modify for our wall joist spacing. We put a regular size and weight queen mattress on it. I do not have one negative thing to say about this. We have used it multiple times and it is always reliable. It looks real nice folded up, too.

Though it did take several hours to assemble, the pieces go together well and the finished product is very nice. The instructions suggest installing on a concrete wall, but do not mention that the included anchor hardware is for concrete. So we got the frame and shelves together, anchored it to the sheet rock wall, pulled the bed down to finish installing panels and the whole thing fell, almost crushing us. It is a really heavy piece. Unfortunately a shelf and a couple of panels broke in the fall. We bought separate molly anchors and now the bed it's secured and together, other than the broken bits.

Let me just start by saying, I hardly ever write poor reviews. But this bed really takes the cake for the worst product I’ve ever purchased on Amazon. This thing was impossible to put together. Poor quality, and once we finally got it put together, we found it to be inconvenient to use. The mattress does not stay securely in place and gets caught at the bottom of the frame, making it impossible to open the bed. They also neglect to mention that this bed is meant to anchor into a concrete wall, so good luck getting it to mount properly without destroying your walls. The latches would not properly latch, the poor quality hardware looked awful and cheap. 0/10, will never buy from this seller again.

The bed came in 2 very heavy boxes. One of the boxes was damaged, which also damaged the product but that was shipping damage. Taking all the pieces out I got pretty overwhelmed and decided to hire someone to help. I am SO glad I did, it took around 12 hours to put together. With that being said, Im pretty sure the person putting it together is about to also order this bed. What im expressing is that it is a very well put together unit, very sturdy and though it took more time, this is good because it will surely last. This bed might just have to come with the house, it is bolted into the wall tight and also very heavy so its really going to last! (We had to get different wall mounts that were proper for my walls) Instructions were a bit tricky at times with only pictures and we didnt see the video instructions until almost the end so dont miss those...they are helpful! I didnt get a heavy enough mattress so i will need to figure that out (this counterbalances the gas springs which are pretty tight i will say. Im happy about this purchase. Other than the damage from shipping, the unit looks very attractive and this will be a very functional piece in my house. I recommend.

This is a really nice Murphy bed. Well made and attractive. It isn’t a quick job to assemble. My husband estimates he spent 20 hours putting it together over a couple days but definitely worth it. Our mattress was 14” and it doesn’t close all the way so it’s best for thinner mattresses.

I’m giving this three stars because it looks cute, and the material feels decent. However, the assembly process was a huge challenge. It took me around five days, working 1–2 hours per day, and I mostly did it alone. While the instructions were clear, there were so many pieces that it felt overwhelming. On the plus side, they provide extra screws and materials, which is helpful in case anything gets damaged. Now, let’s talk about the real issues: 1. Screw A is dangerous! Once fully tightened, it violently stops, causing the drill to bounce back dangerously—I actually hit my skull. That was not fun. 🤦🏽♀️ 2. Some of the white wood pieces had noticeable flaws, and it looks like they were patched up with mismatched white paint. You can’t really see it from far away, but up close, it’s disappointing—especially given the price. 3. After all the hard work, sweat, and literal pain, I discovered that the door doesn’t latch properly! Now I have to buy extra latches just to make sure the Murphy bed actually stays closed when not in use. I originally chose this Murphy bed because, compared to others, it was relatively “cheap”—but at $700–$800, I still expected better quality and proper functionality. Also, after purchasing, I received a message from the manufacturer stating that the mattress weight limit is only 50 pounds. My mattress is slightly over that, but finding a comfortable one under 50 pounds is nearly impossible. If I had known this beforehand, I might have reconsidered my purchase. Final Verdict: It’s cute but frustrating. If you’re willing to put in the effort and buy extra hardware, it might work for you. But for the price, I expected fewer headaches—literally and figuratively.

Packaging - 5 Stars - It appeared from the boxes the shipping company had really been rough with the 2 boxes it came in. (Even unloading it in my driveway 100' from my house they just tossed it out the back of the truck.) No damage at all to any kit parts. It appears the shipping company took it as a challenge to proof test the packaging. Kit Quality - 5 Stars - Fit and finish was excellent. The production jigs must all be dialed in about perfect. Everything lined up true and square. All the fastener holes were perfect; there was nothing that didn't line up just as intended. The finished frame was within 1/32" of being square when I stood it up. Instructions - 5 Stars - Very little printing, most of the instructions are done pictorially. Accurate and laid out in a logical sequence with emphasis on important points. Large pictures and print so it's easy to see and read. Time Required - I did the entire kit by myself with the exception of the bottom two facia pieces; I got a neighbor to give me 10 minutes of help to put those on. I don't think it took me about 8 hours total, but hard to say since it was built over 4 days working on it as time permitted Function - 5 Stars - The more than adequate gas strut easily offsets the fairly substantial weight of the bed frame and mattress. We put a 12" mattress on it, it is slightly in the way of the foot support when it is in the storage position, and the mattress has to be compressed slightly to get the foot support folded into the storage position. That is a minor issue, the unit folds up fine with that mattress installed. We store it with the top and bottom sheet already on it, just no blankets or spread. It is always ready to go if we have guests. Our guest room had become our workout room, now if we have guests the exercise equipment can be easily wheeled into my office. Just lower the bed down and we are ready for company. Assembly tips - 1) Unless your bedroom is the size of a two-car garage, don't unpack the boxes in it. You really need room to spread out the entire kit with everything placed numerically. I unrolled some large carpet pieces in my shop and unpacked the boxes there. I did many of the smaller sub-assemblies out there and then brought them into the house in the order I needed them, it kept the room free of clutter, and I always had room to work. 2) Get a 3/8" drive 4MM Allen wrench. Magnetize it. You'll have almost 200 fasteners to start, most are VERY short, the 3/8 drive head gives you something to hold and start and spin the fastener into place. It saves a huge amount of time and aggravation. Trying to start a tiny screw in tight quarters with the L shaped Allen wrench provided in the kit is a test of anyone's patience. 3) Make sure of the orientation of each part you assemble, since many are symmetrical it is possible to assemble some of the parts flipped over which you don't notice until a later step when something doesn't fit right. Take your time, it will save you from having to correct something later. (Yes, I learned this tip by having to take a small sub-assembly back apart) Installation - Ensure you have adequate wall anchor points. I set one side next to a stud where the L brackets could easily be bolted to it with lag bolts. Since our house has 10' ceilings the walls have fireblocks in them which gave me a convenient place to put another L bracket so both sides are bolted to 2X4's in the walls. I also ran deck screws into any other studs the cabinet frame cross pieces intersected with so there is no chance the bed cabinet can pull loose from the wall. Keep in mind depending on the size of the mattress, you can have over 100 pounds of force trying to pull the top of the cabinet off the wall when the bed is in the down position. A firmly secured cabinet is important. Suggestion to the mfg. - An improvement to the kit would be to have the labels and part number stickers easily come off in one piece without the use of Goo-Gone or WD-40 to get the adhesive off or shredded label off. Some of the larger labels do not come off without tearing or leaving adhesive behind. They make labels that can be removed easily, this would be a good application for that type of label since you know they need to be removed.
