I replaced a new 100 watt halogen light that was rated at1500 lumpen’s……I had to remove the original thin steel plate with the bent tabs that the halogen bulb clipped into, bent the tabs flat so the magnets on the light module would stick…. It’s easily twice as bright, our kitchen is now brighter than it’s been in 20 years, flickers when dimming but stops once you reach the light level you want, glad I got a 2 pack…. The only bad thing is I had to really clean the kitchen now because things are so much more visible…now to put one on the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Great quality, one the the few higher lumens lights I’ve gotten in the last ten years…have this one switched to 6000k almost exactly daylight white ... show more

Have had similar lighting challenges as others with fans not producing enough light and LED bulbs not lasting. I hope these hold up well for us as the quality and amount of light is very nice. It was a bit difficult to make the bulbs work in the fan enclosure with the magnets and the wiring with the space between the bulb and the magnets. I don’t blame the bulbs though as they cannot handle every manufacturer specification. Happy with this purchase so far. ... show more

Magnets hold module very well, installation very simple, and light is very bright. Installed in 4 ceiling fans that used incandescent bulbs. Prior to installing these lights, lights were extremely dim, even when using led screw in bulbs. Now I do not need additional lighting to see paperwork, etc. I highly recommend these replacement lights. ... show more

This is a BEAUTIFUL swap for a domed ceiling fan. (Just make sure it will fit, it's pretty big). It slips up onto the fan's threaded rod easily. I would have given it 5 stars for Installation if it came with a nut to hold it on the rod. The magnets are useless in my fan. It is very very bright, and it dims nicely with my ceiling fan, where I have had dimming problems with lots of other LED bulbs. This one dims really well. The three color are nice, I use the middle one because my fan also has a warm uplight but otherwise I'd use the warm color. It is full brightness regardless of color. I don't know how long it will last and I'm skeptical about cheap products like this, but the price was great and the light is great so even if it doesn't last years I'm happy. ... show more

    • Had spend a couple of hours to modify it, to get it to work.
The Hisoo LED Retrofit 40W did not work very well with my Fan. I had to take off the plastic and use plastic shims and longer screws (not included) and filed the holes in order to get it to work. I spent a couple of hours getting it to work. On the bright side... My wife is very happy with the light output. ... show more
