  • Looking great, easy to assemble
Pattern Name: Shed
It's been two months since I installed this shed. I chose this shed mainly for its modern looking and possibility of self assembly. The end result was really good. The color and style are great. It blends with my small backyard well and doesn't draw attention when glancing over the yard. But when looking closer to it, it looks very nice. It's sturdy and I like the metal frames supporting the roof and side. Installation was reasonable. I did it mostly by myself with a little help when installing the first two side panels and when screwing the roof. I didn't have any prior shed installation experience. It took me two half days. Here are a few suggestions if you are installing it yourself. 1. Watch YouTube videos for this shed. There are quite a few. They helped me a lot to learn the process and tips. 2. Use a light weight cordless screwdriver. There are many screws. I mostly used my Denali 4V stick screwdriver which was handy. I only used the heavier impact driver for the metal frame bolts. 3. When laying the big pieces against the wall, avoid direct sun light and lay it on the wider side. The plastic pieces are easy to get warped especially during hot weather. 4. Have someone help hold the roof pieces down from outside when screwing it from inside. 5. Install mesh screens to cover the inside of the vents. This is optional but gives me peace of mind knowing bugs won't enter the shed through the vents. 6. Maybe it's just me, but I had some trouble installing the water proofing rubber strips for the windows. The rubber pieces kept popping up, especially the corners, before I can install the transparent window pieces. At last I found that I need to press it harder to be really inside, with a plastic stick, so it won't pop. The only gripe I had was the right side door's hinge was too tight, making it hard to install. I had to force inserting it to the frame. In addition, that door was hard to open for the first week. Now it can turn smoothly after some usage. ... show more

  • Worth the purchase!
Pattern Name: Shed
This shed is SO nice! My husband and I put this together and it did take a little bit of time, but not much. Screwing all the pieces in for the windows took the longest. The instructions are easy to follow and it's honestly really easy to put together. I definitely recommend having at least 1 other person help you. We put ours on top of some pavers and we love it. It looks so good and it's really good quality! There's also a lot of space inside so it's perfect for your lawn equipment, gardening tools and anything else you want to store. Especially if you want to save space in your garage! Highly recommend buying this shed! ... show more

  • Purchased in Sept. 2023 - The Facts as I see them
Pattern Name: Shed
(1) I am pushing 70 and I was able to assemble this shed (Suncast BMS7780 7' x 7' Modernist) by myself. (2) It took me a day and a half to assemble it. I live in Georgia and many breaks were required due to the hot days. I would guess that my actual contact time was about 7 or 8 hours. I do not believe those who stated it takes 3 hours to assemble it, even with help. It is not difficult it just takes time to go through all the steps and I am the type that double-checks everything. (3) The "new and improved" plastic wall screws is an improvement on a bad design...it is still a bad design. (4) liquid soap is your friend to help slide the panels (especially the ceiling panels) into place. (5) A mallet is needed and does not dent the plastic with normal force. (6) The instructions make no mention of shipping protective plastic film on the windows. Once the window is installed you can not get it off of the exterior side of the window. I am curious how long it takes to turn yellow or peel away on its own. I guess I will find out : ) (7) The metal side wall supports go all the way to the floor. The front and back metal wall supports stop about a foot from the floor. This makes no sense and it would improve stability if they went to the floor as the side supports do. The walls appeared flimsy and I was concerned about wasting my money on this shed. However, after it is finished it is a very sturdy shed. (8) I dreaded installing the roof by myself. However, I got behind the shed and simply slid the panels onto the roof. Then I used liquid soap to lube the notiches and the roof easily slid into place. I used a bag of swimming pool salt on the roof to provide 40 pounds of weight. This bag was moved as needed. This allowed enough weight to install the screws from underneath and found that the screws nicely grabbed the plastic and pulled it to the metal supports. Turns out the roof was an easy install. (9) I also was concerned about shipping. Turns out the shipper transferred to a local shipper and they delivered it to the location in my yard as desired. The box had a minor tear but everything inside was perfect. Shipping was not an issue. I have only had the shed for one day so can not comment on how it lasts or resists weather. However, thus far it is a nice shed, was fairly easy to assemble, directions were good and it was a good purchase. ... show more

  • Well-designed, steel-reinforced, aesthetically minimalist Well-designed, steel-reinforced, aesthetically minimalist
Pattern Name: Shed
I needed a flat-pack shed that could be assembled within a carport with a very low entry but high interior ceiling (no way to put a storage pod or container in there). I wanted a shed that, although made of plastic, would fit reasonably well with the California Minimalist architecture of this house. And that was reasonably priced, because I just need some extra storage for my rental unit. Although there were no reviews yet, I took a chance and bought this from Amazon. It arrived on schedule (ok, it was one day later than promised) with a big truck from a freight delivery service that I'd never heard of before. I had to help the driver haul the pallet up the last stretch of the driveway and into the carport, as the box was too much for him to move by himself. When I opened the box, all of the parts were there, along with rather clear instructions. First and foremost, YOU NEED TWO (2) ADULTS to assemble this shed; you will never succeed by yourself. That said, it took two men a half-afternoon and a half-morning to assemble the shed, about 5 hours all together. Not bad! You need the second person to hold up walls, or to push on them from the other side, or hang off of beams to get them to snap into place, and so on. In our case, there was a big snafu when, with the walls already in place (but not the roof), the instructions called for sliding a 6-foot steel girder vertically down into an already standing wall. But the carport roof wasn't high enough to let us do this as the engineers had planned it. So although we are both in our 60s we had to lift up the whole shed, tilt it onto its side, and then have one guy hold it steady from beneath while the other guy finally managed to slide in the girder, which isn't easy to do under normal circumstances (much less these ones). Whew. Probably a warning at the beginning of the instructions would be warranted ("you will need 16 feet of overhead clearance in order to assemble the shed," or something like that). We had to drill a couple of extra holes in the main roof steel crossbeam because the pre-drilled holes didn't quite line up, but all in all (we're talking about hundreds of screws and bolts) things fit together very nicely. The shed has good ventilation, some natural lighting from plexiglass windows, an inch-thick shock-absorbing non-slip plastic floor like those you see on playgrounds around here, sits perfectly upright on the carport's concrete slab, and can be padlocked. There are some small gaps in places where the wall panels meet, but you can gun some silicon into those if you wish. FIVE STARS! ... show more

  • Very Solid Shed
Pattern Name: Shed
I just assembled our new shed. It required about 8 hours total spread over 2 days. My wife assisted for 1 hour. I am 68. Assembly was not difficult. Follow the directions, they are very adequate. I did use an impact driver with caution. Final tightening with a screw driver. The hardware is commercial grade, I was happy to see A307 on the bolts. Assistance is needed to initially set the walls. I also needed help to hold the back of a roof section down that was slightly bowed. There were a few screws leftover, no parts shortages and everything fit. This shed will work for years to come. After putting a lot of foreign sourced things together I can honestly say the USA manufacture really showed from the packaging to the design and quality. This makes a big difference to me. Recommended. ... show more

  • Best buy if you're looking for a shed!! Best buy if you're looking for a shed!!
Pattern Name: Shed
I love this shed... I have a corn crib behind the house., that holds all the furniture from around the pool. Since it has a lot of critters inside. I decided to put this small one up for my riding lawn mower and waited till after winter to give this review.. I am getting paid nothing for this review.. But I thought anyone looking for a shed would appreciate the honesty.. I'm a seventy one year old female and I put this shut up by myself... It took three days, but I did not work consistently.. I just placed it on gravel, as it had a floor.. The sides were a difficult part being by myself, but I pushed a ladder against them and made sure they were connected completely.. For the roof I used a fifty pound bag of salt from my pool and was able to tie the roof down securely... The only advice I would give, do not fasten one side down until you get the other up and connected.. I had to loosen the right side of the roof, that I had bolted down, but then the other side slid right in and snapped together.. I did bolt it down with screws and some rebar... Terrible winds just came through Mt Pleasant on saturday and it survived with no problem... I highly recommend this shed... Not only looks good, but works perfectly from my needs.. ... show more

  • Came damaged Came damaged
Pattern Name: Shed
2 pieces were punctured upon opening the box. Looked like a forklift cut through the box. So delayed install for 7-10 business days, Amazon tried to offer me a 10% discount or return, had horror stories with returning freight shipping items like this so I took the discount and went through Suncast to get replacement parts. Install was pretty easy just super hot today with 102 degree temps. Some of the pieces were warped so made sure to flatten them out in the heat for a bit. Shed looks great but like others said will probably need to figure out how to anchor the walls to the ground if you live in a windy area, as the floor is flimsy and is not attached to the walls very well. Ordered some stainless steel mesh to glue to the inside of the vents, gap is definitely big enough to allow insects in. Other than that I love it! ... show more

  • Best bang for your buck!
Pattern Name: Shed
Overall, no complaints here. Needed a semi-permanent option for our house since we do not have a garage currently and this fits the bill. All the pieces fit together as they should, extra hardware such as screws and bolts was a huge plus, even though none of them stripped or anything upon installation. This shed can be assembled solo, BUT, the walls should be done with two people, otherwise, a light wind can damage where the walls meet the floor and possibly snap the tongue and groove style bottom. (Not sure if that’s the correct term but you get the point) The box is large but smaller than I though, takes up about the space of a small sedan, but packaged very well. Everything is labeled clearly and the manufacturers website has a great video for assembly. I never opened the instruction booklet and followed the video instead which was so very easy. Installing the roof requires a heavy object or two people, but I took the advice of another review and used a bag of water softener salt to weigh down the edges as I hit the panels into place with a rubber mallet. We had a heavy rain the next day and some water did leak in through the window, but I believe that I need to tighten down the screws more to seal the gasket better. Overall, it looks great, has a large interior, and I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality shed. I was able to get it on deal for about $1100 which was a steal in my opinion. If anything changes through the winter, I will update. ... show more
