    • Hisense Makes Quiet Sense! Be Careful; Seller Wasn't Authorized; NO Warranty
Replaced the GE unit I bought last year today for two reasons: 1) too noisy and 2) I needed a little more btus Installed today; beautiful; of course you hear the fan, but no droning motor noise, or "thump" when compressor goes on or off. I do have another GE for another room I bought 25 years ago at a garage sale, and it's not noisy, so, I think GE needs to go back to the drawing board. The only thing not working was the remote; Hisense would not honor warranty, since the seller is not an authorized retailer; I am challenging them to provide a warranty, or I will return it, so be careful; make sure the seller is authorized. Finally; a tip I got from the service people who recharged my old AC; keep the ac upright before installing or uninstalling; the compressor does not like being turned upside down and backwards. ... show more

    • Eco mode can't be efficient
I don't like this air conditioner. When on eco mode and the compressor shuts off the fan keeps running. And it blows out hot air. I can't imagine this being energy efficient.

    • ahhhhh cool air!
blows very cold air. not too loud yet have to turn tv volume up a bit to hear movies. does not have thermostat to regulate temps so i do it manually. even set on eco mode, low fan, at 77 room stays cool. adjustable vents: up/down as well as side to side. remote control included. we'll be able to sleep in loft this summer: without this window unit loft was 95degreesF by noon. definitely recommend! ... show more

First I'll start with the good It functions extremely well . It has plenty of power and has really great airflow . The install instructions were easy to follow . Even a first timer like me had no issues with install and was able to do it quickly . I was surprised . And it's durable , it's installed and feels solid , I'm not worried about it . The temperature controls are are simple and self explanatory , very easy to navigate . Now the bad . And to me this is what makes this a pass . I purchased two in July 2025 4 months later and these things are loud . Annoyingly loud . The sound reminds me of a Cessna powering up for takeoff . And it's both of them . They're so loud that I have no choice but to turn them off . I wish I had spent a little more money and gotten ones a little better quality . I'm assuming it's the quality because the blades inside sound like they're insanely loose . Almost like they don't sit properly and that's where the noise is coming from . The only way they aren't as loud is if you put them on the low setting . But mediym or high , forget about it . The noise is just way too distracting . I'm not sure how customer service is regarding these units but I will be reaching out to them for sure But in the meantime if I were you I'd definitely avoid this model . 4 months is way too soon to be having issues Steger clear of this one ... show more

This A/C works amazingly! Even during the hottest days, it's kept my (smaller) room cool exactly how I want it! Also provides a nice soft white noise (it helps me sleep at night and focus during the day) It was very easy to install, and the remote is so convenient. Absolutely would recommend this.
