    • Can't figure out if it's actually drain free or not
I found the manual that I was able to print out. The air conditioner works good. But if anyone out there reads the manual as I did it mentions about draining, while the description on the other hand mentions that its drain free, which is why I purchased it in the first place. I live in a senior housing apartment building with elevators and lugging this thing out my door on the elevator and onto the street just to drain it will be a real chore for me. So my question is. Is it or is it not drain free? Anyway again the AC works well in my living room I only have two rooms, the remote was kind of hard to configure and I never got past the first level, The noise level without my hearing aids is pretty quiet, kind of noisy with them in. The installation the maintenance guy installed it for me cause he had to take out the window and replace it with wood. It looked like it was kind of easy for him. It looks nice here in my small size living room. In closing I just want to say to please get the manual online and print it out. Now I have to figure out if this thing is drain free or not. ... show more

Don't buy this refurbished AC unit. 2025 heat wave was a scorcher so me and my partner bought this only for it to have major issues with the fan making the most horrible noise you will hear in your life!! The device does do an amazing job of cooling but you're better off buying a new one, cause most of Amazon's "refurbished" ACs are just downright bad 1 star out of 5 ... show more

I received the unit three days after ordering it. The box arrived badly scuffed but the contents were in good shape with no damage. Unpacking and installing the unit took about a half hour and was straightforward. The unit seems well built and somewhat heavy but not too heavy. While I wouldn't want to move it often, it isn't as heavy as some units. The hose and window connector seem to be well made. The unit's remote worked as expected after I put in the included batteries. How does it work? It works quite well, cooling my usually 82F room down to the mid-70s. It also requires no draining, which is good because I'm using it in an upstairs room with no drain. The low price point of the refurbished unit is attractive, and it's why I chose this over a mini split AC for the room. However, I think there are some trade-offs. For one, the unit is not quiet, but it's not loud. It's about as loud as road noise from a car. You can talk over the noise but if you listen to quiet music, you'll have to turn it up. The second trade-off is the energy efficiency. The CEER (combined energy efficiency rating) for this product is a 6.9, but the standard for a window AC unit is around 11 or 12. The low score of 6.9 means running this will be more expensive than a unit than a higher rating. I've attached a picture of the Energy Guide that came attached to the unit. Overall, I'm satisfied. I chose this for its low price and ease of installation. If I get a mini split later, I could still use this in another room in the house. ... show more

This portable AC unit works great. It cools the room I have it in. The noise is minimal not very loud at all. Easy to set up. Comes with Everything I needed for easy set up took me 10 minutes I used it right out of the box exhaust hose for window stays on very secure. I would recommend this and I would buy this again ... show more

My room is pretty small, around 9ft x 10ft. I bought a window kit to make it work with my very tall horizontal sliding window. The kit didn't fit perfectly despite the diameter match so I used duct tape to seal and it all works great. I love that it has a timer, and my room is cooled in about ten minutes. Received in great condition even being refurbished. It was 95 in my studio with two 6ft windows facing open sky of western sun. Had out of box and assembled and into window in minutes. I have top sliding windows, so opened about 4in put in brace for AC tube to connect to, window seal, turned on. Within 45 min my entire studio was like ice box and 90+ outside. It’s quiet and works great only 3rd day but feels great. Going to be different summer this year. ... show more
