    • Unbeatable Deal!
Wow, this is a great TV for the size and the current price ($650 during Black Friday) is unmatched comparatively. Years ago I spent $2K for a Sony Bravia 65", which was a bit underwhelming at the time considering the price and lag of the menu screens. It did the job but I felt like marketing and a big name brand is all I was sold on. This 75" Hisense feels like a real upgrade so far, granted I've only had it for a couple of days now (I will update if things change), I'm impressed with the quality. (Skip to very bottom for overall Pros/Cons) Visuals: The first thing I did was turn off the motion plus stuff, this is what gives video that "soap opera" effect, which in my opinion cheapens the look of movies. Thankfully there are different settings for it as well as turning it completely off, nice. After making some adjustments to the other standard video settings along with Dolby Vision, the visuals are beautiful. Audio: The sound is great for being in TV, while I will eventually hook up an external system to meet my personal preferences, the built-in Dolby Atmos is more than sufficient for the time being and fills the room while even at low volume. Technical: There are 3 HDMI inputs at 4K 60fps, I am using all of them and have no issues with the TV auto-selecting between them as I switch between devices - an Apple TV, a PS5, and my computer. The Google OS that comes with the TV immediately tries to set you up for a Google Home network, which is nice if you want/need that, but for the time being I'm using my Apple TV instead since I'm already signed in for all of my streaming platforms. Similar to the Sony Bravia, the UI navigation is a bit sluggish... I am convinced this has less to do with the TV and more to do with the OS itself. Hooking up an Apple TV bypasses that lag. I don't think it's worth taking a star off for the OS/UI, since this is common with smart TVs (unfortunately). Amazon Delivery: Wow these guys were great. They called upon arrival and carefully delivered it through my house and into the basement, then went to work unpacking it up on my table in less than 10 minutes. Mind you this was a 75"+ sized box, which is not a light ask, something I could not have done by myself at all. Just FYI, they DO take the box back after unpacking it for you, so that's nice if you planned on trashing it anyway, but would have been nice to keep it in storage in case anything happens to it. They were very polite and insistent on taking it back, so I didn't try too hard to keep it anyway. Pros: Great value especially for the size of it. Picture quality wonderful after some adjustments (just turn off Motion Plus)! Switch between inputs easily and automatically. Dolby Atmos built-in is a definite plus! Cons: Somewhat laggy user interface, as usual with most smart TV operating systems. Fear of "soap opera effect" being a permanent feature (it's not)! Can't keep the box? Will update if anything else comes up, good or bad! ... show more

    • Good mid level TV at a decent price
This is my third Hisense TV, none of them have ever given me any trouble yet. Upgraded from a 65" Roku that's a few years old to this 75" mainly because of the difference in size and brightness. This will not be the brightest or best screen you can get but it's definitely better than the entry level series and has mini-leds and local dimming so it's a good balance. With real 4k/high quality content it's more than adequate...just have to tune it to your preferences. Kind of still prefer the Roku interface and remote to Google, but it works well enough. For some reason the Youtube TV app refuses to stream 5.1 audio, while it did on the Roku and does on Fire Stick...hopefully they fix that! Otherwise no issues, picture quality is perfect once you do the settings the way you want. Just keep in mind that it depends on the quality of content you are watching. Most stuff is still 1080p and wont look as great as 4k or playing a disc. The remote is cool with the lights that help a bit, has a button you can assign to an input of your choice. Wish it had the Roku shortcut buttons for things like sleep timer and turning the screen off while the sound continues to play. Also it does not let me turn off my receiver and use the TV speakers only via eARC...it just keeps turning the receiver back on which is kind of annoying so I guess you just have to turn off HDMI control completely or always use receiver which sometimes I don't need to do. Always new quirks when you change things though I guess. Amazon delivery folks delivered inside and helped open box and let me power on screen and make sure there were no issues. ... show more

    • Great TV, lackluster software and processor

This is a fantastic budget tv. The picture is very crisp, and also supports Dolby Vision and HDR. Has a good amount of settings you can mess with to your liking. The only issue I have is with the Google smart tv functionality. The menus are very laggy and I had issues with the WiFi connection dropping every hour or so. This is pretty common with more budget focused TVs; they skimp on the processor, ram, etc to cut costs. I bought a 4k Roku streaming stick to use on the television, and that has completely eliminated the menu lag and WiFi connection issues. ... show more

    • WOW! Great picture!!

Received the Hisense U7 65U6N 65" 5 days ago. It included an unboxing service from Amazon. The unboxing was OK but very hurried. They were supposed to wait through the power-up/setup sequence, but basically after it showed the logo on power-up they were out the door. But, I give them some slack because it was 8 days before Christmas and I'm sure they were slammed. The TV right after initial software setup was absolutely amazing. So bright and crisp I couldn't believey eyes. If possible, it was brighter and more vivid that real life! The dark were also exceptionally dark. Fast motion screens look great. Only issue with the picture is when a commercial flashes a full screen of white or another bright color; it can be blinding! I've adjusted some of the default brightness settings lower to deal with that. This is my first set using the Google TV Operating System and so far I am very happy with the user interface. Everything has been very intuitive. The sound from the built-in speakers is pretty good. I use a Bluetooth sound system, though, which sounds much better. The only issue I had with the setup of Bluetooth is that I had to disable discovery to get the TV to pair with my Bose speakers. Seemed backwards. The remote looks classy and works well. Very happy with this purchase and especially with the low price, this seems to be an incredible value! ... show more
