Overall, I love the TV. Sharp picture, excellent sound. I’m really not a huge fan of the Google interface, but it works. I fiddled for a while with the different video settings and ended up going back to the default. I have a speaker system that can only connect with an optical cord, but to be honest it didn’t sound that great. So I’ve been using the TV as is, and the included TV speakers provide a good amount of depth of sound. Frankly, it’s the first time I’ve ever been impressed with regular TV speakers. The remote control is not great, but good enough. I find myself having to point it just right for it to work properly. But once you get a show going, the TV really shines. I never realized how dim my old TV was until I got this one. Video is bright and crisp. Since I live by myself, I was thankful for the in-home delivery package. They came in, unboxed it, attached the stand, and put it in place. I spent weeks researching different TVs, changing my mind almost daily, and I’m very satisfied with my final choice.

I have typically stayed with one manufacturer anytime I've bought TVs but when I looked at this particular TV and what it had to offer for the price I couldn't resist. And I do not regret my decision to buy this TV. As with any of the TVs, you need to go in and adjust the brightness contrast and colors because everything is turned way up and just doesn't look right. The picture on this TV is absolutely stunning. I've gone in to YouTube to go ahead and play some of the 4K demo videos they have and that's where you can. Really appreciate how fantastic the picture is with this TV. I actually bought a smaller one not too long ago that we were using for the kids downstairs for gaming. When I I saw that this TV has a ton of things to offer that the other model TVs, which were much more expensive in a different manufacturer which I will not name but very popular. Didn't even come close to. It automatically adjusts to programming. Is it recognizes in sets up the TV for the best possible picture. I would buy this again in a heartbeat

The Hisense 65" Class U8 Mini-LED ULED 4K UHD Google TV has impressed me with its image quality. The colors are vibrant, the blacks are deep, and the HDR highlights really stand out. One of my favorite features is the wide range of picture and motion settings Hisense offers, while the interface stays user-friendly and easy to use. The built-in AI features are a mixed bag. Upscaling from HD content looks good, but I still don’t like motion interpolation, also known as “smoothing.” The integrated speakers are decent for a TV this size, but for a true cinematic experience, I would still recommend at least a soundbar or external speakers. At this price point, Hisense is hard to beat in the Mini-LED 4K market. You get great value for the performance. Pros: - Stellar Mini-LED picture quality with vibrant colors and deep blacks - Extensive picture and motion settings with an easy interface - Good upscaling of non-4K content - Decent built-in speakers for casual viewing Cons: - Motion interpolation still looks unnatural (subjective) - Built-in speakers can’t match an external system for full theater sound (less of a con, more of a limitation of flat screen TVs)

Hisense 65" U8QG is on the bottom left. The one mounted to the wall is a Samsung 65"QN90B QLED And the other TV to the right is a Samsung 65" OLED 4K S90C. All connected through my computer to a RTX 3080. Hisense 65" U8QG Was a perfectly clean panel when I received it No dead pixels or weird blemishes. You also can't see any of the backlight structure which is a good thing for solid color images such as watching anime. I will say that the U8QG controls its backlight fairly well There's very little blooming. It has excellent black levels when the brightness is turned up. Even bright to dark games such as Diablo 2 resurrected or Resident Evil 4 remake. All of them looked pretty good. It also has a mode to boost colors to be ultra saturated if that's your thing. I use it, I thought it looks nice. Even though it's technically not color accurate. The frame rate is 165 hertz which is faster than most Oleds on the market of 144 hertz. The OLED still feels faster though. The latency and input lag is noticeably greater than an OLED even with 144 Hertz the OLED is still more snappy as far as desktops go. The input latency on U8QG Is decent but I found I needed to crank the brightness up to at least 50% As well as the contrast in order for the mouse to feel like it wasn't moving through Mud. Not sure why but the pixel response time seems to lessen The more you turn down the brightness on this TV. You're going to want to definitely Low latency mode in the Nvidia control panel or Radeon Anti lag For AMD. The input latency for the mouse didn't seem terribly acceptable until they did as well as maintaining high brightness. Not sure if it's a trick of the eyes or pixel response time is tied to the brightness but that's what it felt like to me. Hisense 65" U8QG definitely does not beat my Samsung 65" OLED 4K S90C In terms of visual clarity But U8QG is able to get a little bit brighter. I don't think it matters both TV's are able to get incredibly bright. I gotta say the smearing of text on the U8QG is pretty bad especially out of the box. Moving a text box across the screen the text will start to smear and it looks pretty bad. I was able to lessen this quite a bit by enabling Multi frame sampled AA In the Nvidia control panel not sure what the equivalent on AMD is. This made text smearing somewhat bearable. U8QG Is in the same price range as a OLED And it performs worse in most regards but I think you buy the U8QG Because you want to drive the U8QG very hard and you don't want to worry about Burn in. Going back and forth between QLED and OLED based on my activity works for me though. Just be aware though that the U8QG is nowhere near competitive to a OLED. Now I need to explain why I'm giving the TV four stars. Hisense has major issues with its speakers built in speakers. The sound will routinely cut in and out on most audio sources that travel through the TV. I tried for over a month trying every single setting and anything that I could think of to try to troubleshoot These audio hiccups. Maybe every hour or so the TV will rapidly have its audio clip in and out three to eight times. Audio cutting out is an issue that has plagued Hisense for the better part of five years now. It's been seen on almost all of its models They seem totally unable to figure out what is causing it and Have no way of fixing it. My fix for the sound cutting out was to just buy external speakers that route directly to my PC ignoring TV's speakers entirely. If you're planning on buying an external audio system That won't route to the speakers I imagine the audio cuts will not be a problem for you. They spent so much time trying to troubleshoot the speakers that I thought about giving the TV 3 stars was quite frustrating. It's unfortunate because the TV If it has relatively decent speakers for what they are with a pre installed subwoofer. They didn't beat the speakers that I was able to purchase independently but the U8QG Has the best speakers I've ever heard on the TV. Overall if you want something that you can run hard for 12 hours a day every day then U8QG seems to be a great pick. If you Don't want to go through the trouble babysitting an OLED Using it for a few hours at most, turning it off relatively quickly when you're not using it.

This TV is fantastic! The picture is amazing, and the Google TV user interface is incredible. I’ve never had a UI that’s is intuitive like this one. You can search for a program and it searches all of the streaming apps on your TV. Hisense makes wonderful TV’s at mid-level prices. The remote was a huge surprise. It has everything built in to easily get to all the features/settings and programming. As with all new TV’s sold today, you’ll need a soundbar for high-quality. I expected that when I made the purchase. I highly recommend this unit.
