For the price, this system is amazing. A soundbar-based 5.1 setup that works decently well, has solid output, and delivers decent bass. I haven’t stress tested it to the max since it easily fills my ~200 sqft room at about half volume, but at around 40–50% it performs really well. At this price point, I don’t think there are any competitors that can match the value per dollar for a simple surround sound setup. The only caveat I’ve noticed is that I wish Night Mode was its own separate setting. That way, I could use dynamic volume control alongside a preset EQ like News or Movie mode. Overall, the performance per dollar here is fantastic. It’s not on the level of a true 5.1 system, but considering even an entry-level dedicated 5.1 system will run you a few hundred dollars more, this Hisense R651 is hard to beat for the budget. ... show more

    • Best low cost high quality sound upgrade for Hisense smart TV
Bought this refurbished and was cautious when setting up. But it has been great so far. I paired it with a Hisense branded fire TV, though I’m using a new fire stick 4k max with the fire TV now. Tested the sound bar with the fire sticks Dolby digital sample audio/video loop (available in sound diagnostics menu), and rear speakers, subwoofer and front bar speakers sound really great. Huge upgrade to my Samsung T550 that was causing audio dropouts when using ARC/eARC. Before I thought it might be the TV, but with this sound bar I get clear audio, no dropouts, and 5.1 channels. The subwoofer connected automatically to the bar, which was nice. The rear speakers connect with long wires to the sub, which is fine for me, especially for the price. Absolutely no regrets with this purchase so far. Will update review if any problems arise later. ... show more

this company sells inferior products I would not buy from them the product that I bought was crap never worked right from the start . I contacted the hoping they might be sympathetic to my situation but NO they were not . I should not have expected much the product was cheap in price but didn't expect it to be a cheaply not well made peace of JUNK ... show more

    • Stupid Design Issues.
I have not installed it yet but a huge design flaw immediately got my attention. My intent was to center mount the sound bar and then run relatively short wires from it to the satellite speakers and then place the sub out of the way on a hard surface. What I discovered was that the irrational engineers put the satellite speaker plugs on the sub, thus making a relatively neat installation impossible. In my case, it makes it impossible for me to take advantage of the 5.1 surround sound the company brags about so much. Also, check the income voltage and current specked for this unit, the sound bar is only a 4 watt unit at the most. Still, that is more than enough for the average room. Update: I installed this in my motor home to play music off its USB port and to work with the TV to get a much full sound. Everything works great - except the tiny satellite speakers are garbage. I bought a $35 set of book end speakers from Amazon and made special aluminum wall mounts for them. The sound bar with the new speakers with its nice sized sub really sounds great. It is like being in a very small version of out home family room. The sound bar can be run off 12 volts at 1/2 amp making it perfect for an RV. Unfortunately there was no such option for the sub. The wall mount screw heads are barely large enough to keep the units from falling off the wall. I suggest going to ACE hardware and getting different wider head screws. “Refreshed” system arrived in original packaging and all parts. Matched system to new Hisense screen with muddy audio. Easy to install with HDMI to HDMI ARC & 2 power cords. Seller shipped quickly & it arrived in 4 days with free shipping.
