This spray is perfect for getting rid of strong odors on things like mattresses, chairs, etc. One of my cats got sick and urinated on my mattress, which did have a cover on it, but he’s a big boy and it got down onto the mattress. Vital Oxide to the rescue! It saved my expensive mattress and completely eliminated the odor after using it three times. I let it dry between each applications and the odor is gone. He also had vomited on a chair before I got him to the vet as they are not open on the weekends where I live, and it eliminated that odor, too. This product is nontoxic and I feel good about using something effective and nontoxic.

I’ve used this on puppy pee, cat pee, stinky drains, even to get rid of the smell of other cleaning products I don’t like the smell of. I am a clean freak with a sensitive nose and have a cat with asthma so need cleaning supplies that don’t aggravate us. This stuff is reliable and odorless when dry. We depend on it for killing germs as well. Great product all around.

FYI: Dilute as directed! It's not cheap stuff, right? ;-) Vital Oxide is the best Non-Toxic antifungal, antibacterial all purpose product (most bugs, including ants). NO fragrances at all. This was our "best friend" during Covid shutdown. Everything that came in the house was sprayed down with it. We discovered this product 15 yrs ago when we had a small "kitchen incident" and needed to clean up smoke residue on surrounding walls and had a baby, someone with asthma/allergies, cats/dogs. We thought we were going to have to repaint. Nope, Vital Oxide does all it says. Moreover, it's hospital-grade and I now use it everywhere. No bleaching of fabrics and doesn't seem to damage wood finishes, refreshes mattress, pet mess cleanup, bath, kitchen, solid wood kitchen/dining table, granite countertops, leather couch. It is my go-to for just about everything and I never worry about harm to the kids or pets. FYI: It is not a degreaser - clean for that first, then use Vital Oxide to disinfect, etc.

This is a great disinfectant, I’ve been using it on both non porous and porous surfaces for 3 years now. I’ve used it on carpet, my couches, kids toys/kids areas, kitchen, bathroom, areas of mold, my car, shoes, door knobs, to sanitize laundry.. etc I can go on and on. It has become especially handy during thiscovid 19 pandemic. It meets the EPA standards to kill Covid-19 for those wondering AND an array of other dangerous microorganisms. In full strength is has a slight chemical-like smell, but when diluted It is NEARLY ODORLESS! It does mitigate mild to moderate odors but I wouldn’t say it completely eliminates strong odors such as nicotine/tobacco. I’ve used it on my carpet for children urine/feces accidents and it worked wonders but doesn’t get rid of nicotine odors completely. If you have kids this is definitely a go-to disinfectant. I called poison control once when my kid accidentally put his mouth an area I had sprayed..per the material safety dada sheet (MSDS), ingestion is “non toxic”. Poison control also verified that it is indeed “non toxic” and advices me to just rinse the mouth with water. All ended up well, my child had absolutely no reactions. So it’s safe to say that this product is great for those with young children. It’s pricey on amazon but it is $37per gallon on the vital oxide website. Even with the $15 shipping on the website, if you’re buying in a 2 or more gallon bulk, it’s still way cheaper. Hope this helps! Stay safe folks.

I have tried SO many products to remediate a household mold/mildew problem and this product is by far the best. It's non-toxic, odorless, can be misted, sprayed and fogged, and usable on any surface. So far it has not "bleached" nor harmed carpets, fabrics, clothing, even bedding. It works well on counters, tile, bathtubs. It's hospital grade, which is the most complete type of disinfectant and cuts through biofilm - the slimy substance that some bacteria and mold produces to protect itself against destruction. It is truly a no-wipe, no-scrub formula. Within minutes it evaporates from a surface leaving zero residue. It's concentrated, so it goes a long way. Full strength is recommended in some scenarios for first time application. In other scenarios the dilution ratio is 1 part Vital Oxide to 9 parts water. Even full strength doesn't irritate my skin. Refer to manufacturer's recommendations, these are just my own experiences of no adverse health effects. I don't often take the time to rate products, but when I find one that works this well, I'm motivated to share my experience. P.S. customer service is also great. I called their toll-free # moments ago to find out if it is sold locally in my area hoping to pick up a jug today (unfortunately not in my area). But the service rep answered on the first ring and was able to give me an answer within moments. I ordered two more gallons from Amazon for delivery tomorrow.
