I have a pretty bad dust mite allergy so I was looking for something to reliably and consistently keep the humidity in my room at like 40% all the time. This dehumidifier is great - I like that the modes come with several options and it's customizable but not confusing. Easy to empty - not as easy to clean, I did have to get some pipe cleaners so I could get in the crevices, but definitely not a pain to empty and put back together. It definitely makes your room hotter by a few degrees, but I have an AC so I don't mind. I like the white noise of it - it is indeed noisy, but in a consistent way, not in a clunky way. Bought two of these they run 2 hours at the minimum daily and that was over a year ago at least they’ve are awesome . Shipper was awesome to well packed made it here no problems almost 1.5 years later.

I have had this running for months straight now and it works great. It is in my basement, relatively quiet. I have it hooked to a hose to drain directly into my sump pump so drainage is not an issue. it shuts on and off on its own to my preset humidity level. I purchased this to put in the upstairs of my home. Our house AC was really having trouble keeping up with this recent heat wave we've been going through and the humidity was crazy up there. This thing fills up in one day. It works so well at removing the moisture from the air. The AC can be set at higher temps and it still feels comfortable. Nothing to put together. I have a 2000 sqft brick home on a slab foundation that does not seem to have a vapor barrier , they did not bother with vapor barriers in the 1960s. Between the two units I am pulling about 5 gallons of water out of the air a day. When I realized that I was having to empty the first unit 3 times a day I bought the second one. Works great. Collects a lot of water. Timer don't always shut off at times set. Set it in the morning for couple hours and when I come home it's still running. Use for bathroom does the job well.

Bought a reconditioned unit for a great price. 2 wheels were broken in transit and upon notification, the company immediately sent out a new set. This model rightfully gets recommended. I have bought two refurb machines, having learned the hard way that paying a lot of money for a new dehumidifier is for suckers. This particular model is a BEAST. It will dry out a space in very little time no matter the challenge. Take a super-hot shower in an en suite where the bedroom's already at 75% humidity? No problem, your bathroom mirror will barely fog if you park it proximate. Downsides: it is noisy, but not worse than a window AC. It WILL heat up the space, though, by several degrees. Not one or two, more like five, so factor that in. But when it's soupy, you will not care. It's a dry heat, right? ... show more
