Different motherboards use different keys to enter BIOS, with common ones being Del and F2. You can pay attention to the on-screen prompts when starting up the computer. Enable 4G decoding: After entering BIOS, go to the "Advanced" options, look for options like "Above 4G Decoding" or "4G Memory Decoding", and set them to "Enabled".

  • SOYO GT740: Affordable Fix for Windows 11 Compatibility
I picked up this card to get my system ready for Windows 11. I had bought a motherboard/CPU combo that had video ports on the back, so I thought I was set. Back in the day, if a motherboard had video ports, that meant it had onboard video. Turns out now the video comes from supported CPUs, and since I bought a combo, I couldn’t just swap the chip. I tried using my old graphics card, which worked fine, but it wasn’t Windows 11 compliant. That’s when I grabbed this GT740. Installation was straightforward, and it gave me the compatibility I needed. Bottom line: This card solved my upgrade issue and gave me a big step up over my 10‑year‑old system. If you’re in the same boat — older hardware, new OS requirements — this is a solid, practical fix. ... show more

  • Works great in Dell Optiplex 3050 sff
I purchased this GeForce GT 740 4GB card for my old Dell Optiplex 3050 sff which has a pcie slot but has no extra room for sloting a card wider than a single slot and is next to the power supply. It is working great, i purchased this card because my mouse would lag and stutter at times even though the Win 11 performance didn't show any abnormal usage of computer resources. I have been using this device for three days with no mouse issues. HWmonitor app show the temp of the idle onboard GPU 107 F while the GeForce GT card shows max of 124 F. I only use this Dell for usual home use and no gaming or video editing. Will have to wait some time before the longevity of this card is. ... show more

  • Don't expect it to run high performance games that require more then 6gbs of Ram.
Works well for the price. Have some driver issues but that's to be expected for it's age. Overall a good GPU for a Budget systems.

  • A great option for mid level computing needs.
Worked perfectly right from installation. Great to have all 3 output options and is great upgrade from my 1GB OEM card. Win10 pulled up software and has been glitch-free for several weeks now. Runs cool and helps keep down the overall case temp with my standard cooling fans. Certainly not optimum for top-level gamers, but works well for typical PC tasks. ... show more

  • Good basic video card
It works great. Only purchased it to get a new build going. For some reason the onboard video wouldn't work even though I had a processor with the graphics. Can't vouch for anything else as it's been removed now that I changed back to onboard graphics. Nice cheap basic card that runs a 1080P monitor fine for online work. I'm sure a gamer wouldn't have enough power ... show more

  • Probably best to avoid this one!
Can't say for sure it destroyed my tv (using hdmi connection), but it installed just fine on pc. Turned off pc, connected hdmi, turned on tv, turned on pc and tv display scrambled. Non-functional tv now. Uninstalled card and returned it. I would spend a little more $$$ and get a better card...that is if I still needed one for my TV. ... show more
