There are a LOT of drip kits on Amazon and I've ordered one or two myself. This one stands above the rest in terms of quality. The sprinkler timer you get with this is something that, standing alone, would eat up a large portion of the price of this kit, so it's a terrific value. The conversion piece that attaches to the timer (or, if your planters or other drip site is not located immediately adjacent to your hose bib, a standard garden hose) is nicer than I've ever seen--it is easy to insert the 1/4 inch tubing and I love that the water pressure on each tube is adjustable. This gives you flexibility not only in using this kit but in expanding upon it--for example, if you had tiny drip emitters running off one tube and mini-sprinklers running off another, you would want to apply different water pressure to each to maximize their potential. The adjustable emitters are also extremely high quality and I like that they act as a connector for tube lengths rather than something that is popped into a hole on top of 1/2" tubing and is stretched out over time. The bottom line is that other kits may wow you with a 1,000 pieces, but this one has things you truly need to get completely set up. It is much cheaper to go and buy additional emitters than to but the timer or drip conversion piece included here. ... show more
