First I must say I bought 7 and every one had an extra battery. There are 55 sounds but we used #7 which was the doorbell chime. It can be loud or soft and it lights up in case you can't hear well. Easy to program just 2 buttons to the whole thing. We used a Ruby monkey magnet and glued it on the case of the doorbell piece that goes on the door. NO PROBLEM with the chime sounding through a metal door. Everyone of them worked on a metal door. Very good purchase for elderly people who can't hear that well or deaf because it does light up-just place in in view. Would buy again and a great purchase.

I recently installed this doorbell and have been very impressed with it'd features and performance. This doorbell comes with a chine unit that can be placed around the house, so you can hear the doorbell ring from anywhere. The chime units are plug-ins, so installation was a breeze - no wiring required. The doorbell itself has a modern, sleek design and it runs on batteries, so there's no need to hardwire it or worry about electrical work. The push button feels sturdy and well-made. The best part is the doorbells multiple tones and volume settings. You can choose from 55 different chime tones, from traditional tones, to birds chirping, to fun melodies.
