I do a lot of mountain biking. I have a little collection, and I'm always looking for more! I was pretty skeptical with the price. I like bike-shop quality bikes, which are much more than this. I figured I'd give it a try, I haven't met a bike I didn't like! Set up was pretty quick and easy. It was maybe 30-40 minutes with all the fine tuning. It is a little heavier than the bikes I'm used to riding, but the lock out was incredible! I have an older bike with a front shock lock out, but it never worked as well as this one does! Shifting was pretty nice and quick! The brakes worked very well. I had to take it off road to really test it out. The weight came into play for sure. It ended up being a little shorter ride, but the downhills were amazing! The extra weight helped to really bomb down some good hills! It felt very responsive the whole time. I took it through a little mud, and it stayed on top pretty well. I was much more impressed with it than I thought I would be! ... show more

Heavy frame bike. It has some nice things like disc brakes, but I find that they don't stop quite as well as my traditional rim brakes. It's a good looking bicycle, and fairly comfortable to ride. It's a good bike to loan to friends when they come over.

Overall this is a decent bike but I would say its probably closer to being a 100.00 bike. Not the 299.00 its listed for. It has some decent components but the grip shifts are junk and the labelling was poorly applied and stripped off and is stuck who knows where inside the grips so I have no idea what gear its in. The pedals are super cheap and one of them cracked the second time I rode it. The fittings for the internal channels for the cables are poorly made and don't fit well in their holes and the brakes required almost a complete overhaul to work acceptably. The fenders it comes with are junk and dont even come with appropriate hardware to install them. Just toss them. Finally, the description says it takes 15 minutes to assemble and as someone that is mechanically inclined and does have a little experience with bikes it took me over an hour to put together.Unless the price comes down quite a bit on this one I don't think I would recommend it. ... show more

It’s always a toss up when you purchase something bike like a bike online without looking at it beforehand. The bike seems great but the front tire is bent. It still works fine but is very noticeable. Looks great but a bit disappointed. Won’t be buying again.

The media could not be loaded. I am an avid bike rider and bike mechanic - so I was optimistically hopeful about this product. What a let down! I'm surprised that Amazon would even consider stocking such an unsafe piece of junk. In the item description it said that it would take 10-15min to assemble. I can tell you - I have all the right tools and know how to work on bikes, and this took me far longer than 15 minutes. The directions were awful, and were simply basic instructions on a bike that didn't even resemble the one I received. The front tire was un-true which caused the wheel to wobble, as shown in the video. The disc breaks were so poorly made that it took me quite a while just to get them not to rub... which was never quite successful. I managed to just get over that they were breaks that would rub. I had to re-do the tubes in the wheels so that they wouldn't pop the first time someone rode this. The parts were poorly mismatched and seemed like they were just thrown in the box to make it work. I thought I had it all put together and tuned so I decided to take it for a test ride. Not two pedals in, I tried to shift the gears. The chain dropped and the rear derailleur bent so bad that it was tangled up in the chain, rendered completely useless. (See Picture) If I had been going at any speed and that happened to my back derailleur I would have flipped over. This bike is a hazard and needs to be taken off of Amazon. ... show more
