There were a lot of likes and little or any dislikes. The package arrived on time in very good condition. The assembly was straight forward. I have fair mechanical skills but think a person of average ability would have little difficulty with assembly. There was no kickstand, but I knew it so can't com plain as others did. I think it would be wise for the manufacture to include a kickstand. Afterall, this is a comfort bike not a $10K road bike. The only downside was the lack of more factory installed drilled and tapped holes for mounting accessories like a water bottle rack and tire pump. For safety and security, I don't like to strap items to the frame so now I plan to drill and tap holes in rather thin metal. ... show more

I would’ve given 4 stars because of box condition when it arrived (looked like it fell out of the truck a few times) and the chain, which was suppose to be assembled and ready to go, was twisted and all out of whack. But because it rides so good and I am extremely satisfied, it gets 5 stars. Purchased this bike because it said east assembly and looked like a fairly basic bike for someone like me who doesn’t have extensive knowledge about bikes. My best guess is that I got a bike that someone else returned and that’s why box and chain were messed up. But no big deal, all parts were there and just had to assemble handle bars, front tire, and pedals. Took the bike to a local Trek shop and they fixed the chain issues and it was ready to ride. First ride was 15 miles and I don’t have a bad thing to say about it. Smooth ride, smooth gear shifts, etc. Seat isn’t the comfiest but you can fix that easy. Very happy with my purchase. I had to take it to a bike shop. The parts were different than pictured. (they have 3 different instructions). The bike shop owner said "you will be lucky if this holds up very long" and "very spongy brakes".

    • Instructions useless and unclear
The bike itself looks nice and doesn't seem to be damaged or missing any parts. The reason for the 3 stars is the absolutely USELESS instructions. One of the manuals is in german, the other is in English, but it's not even talking about this model specificially. There's pictures and examples of different bikes, so that leads me to believe that this is an "all in one" type of manual, they send this manual with every bike they sell regardless of the model, and it just gets extremely confusing, especially for someone like me who has never assembled a bike before. Luckily it came 85% built so it wasn't too difficult, but I required youtube videos because the instructions were so bad they might as well not include them, multiple key steps skipped or not properly explained, just a mess. Like I said at the beginning, the bike itself isn't the problem, it's the instructions, fix this (talking to you seller) so you can save your future customers from this hassle. Also, no kickstand on a bike worth more than 300 dollars? Come on. ... show more

Took very little time to assemble out of the box. Only need to connect the handle bars , front tire , seat and pedals. Took it out for a ride and was very smooth and light weight. update . ive had this bike for 3 months now. its been a good road bike. i ride about 15 to 20 miles average 5 days a week.. i do some hills , its not the best for large hills but for minor hills its fine with a bit of sweat . im happy with my purchase and for the price paid . def good for a road bike situation . ... show more
