I ordered this bike since the Retrospec Barron Medium was out of stock on their website. While checking it out on the Amazon listing it said it is a 6061 Aluminum frame. After I assembled the bike I found that it was a little too heavy for an aluminum bike. When I looked at the instruction booklet that came with the bike, it said it is steel. That put me off. I don't mind steel frame, but I don't like being taken for a ride by false advertisement. It is been over a couple of weeks since I returned it and yet they haven't changed the description. Pros: materials and finish are superior and the bike is very easy to assemble. It took me less than 20 minutes to put together. Cons: sizing is off. I am 5'11" and the medium bike is borderline too small. Second, the height of the handlebar cannot be adjusted up from the spacers resulting in a head down riding position. ... show more

Received this bike yesterday. After just one short ride today, the rear gear mechanism broke and the chain came off. Very poor build quality. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend.

The only adult bikes I’ve owned I got off the side of the road, so this is a step up. It’s light and looks really sleek. No missing parts and it was very easy to assemble. I do have some concerns that may be due to my lack of experience. It’s not easy to tighten the seat, and it pushes itself down when I sit on it and I worry I’m going to strip the screws if I tighten it more. Same with the handle bars, if I’m going up a hill and putting more weight on the, they shift. The disc brake in the front rubs a little and I’ve tried adjusting them without success. Finally the gear shifts seem to catch a bit when riding. I believe with some more time adjusting it it’ll be a lot smoother ride, but for the price this is a great entry. Also the wheels are thinker than a racing, but emphasis should be on the road portion of the hybrid. I would not take this on any thing more rugged then really solid dirt. ... show more

Everything is fine with this bike, except that the front tire is losing air. I have pumped it up twice and the front tire is flat again!
