I admit it. I am a Martini snob. Martinis have been my beverage of choice for decades. It is a classic libation and deserves to be treated as such. My Martini must be up, very dry, icy cold, and shaken. Unfortunately gin affects me negatively, so my Martinis are vodka with olives. No flavored liquor allowed. The vessel in which my Martini is served is as paramount as the quality of the liquor itself. The glass must be the traditional stem with a bowl of sufficient size to accommodate a generous pour and with a stem of some sturdiness. Reed thin stemware is not acceptable – pretty perhaps but not durable. I have needed to replace my mismatched and chipped glasses for some time. I have searched for such and came across these. This stemware seemed to fit my requirements, so I ordered two sets. Once you find something, order backups because you may never see it again. Out of the 8 glasses, one arrived broken although the packaging was excellent. A replacement set was sent pronto and arrived intact. These are now in use. Unfortunately the first order contained 2 broken glasses but the replacement order came quickly. The glasses are lovely! They are the larger, 11oz size which is what I wanted and have thicker stems than most. I would definitely order again
