I love these chairs! I note that these chairs do NOT come assembled. The pieces come very well packed in a large box (see photo), ready to assemble. I am NOT a DIY person who puts things together -- I get my kids or grandkids to assemble anything I buy from Ikea. However, these chairs are so simple to assemble that even I was able to do it myself. ;-) The instructions say that one person can assemble each chair in about 10 minutes. It took me about 14 minutes for the first one, but I can probably do better on the others. Assembly consists of attaching the leg piece to the chair body piece with 4 screws and washers. There is a front and back to the legs, but you can't put them on backwards because the screw holes are positioned differently for the front and back legs, so there is only one possible way for the legs to be put on. That was a great thing for me, because otherwise I would have put them on backwards, for sure. Once I put them together and tried sitting on it, I found the chair to be VERY sturdy and stable, with no looseness at all. I note that these chairs have a height adjustment screw on each of the 4 legs. I adjusted all screws to their shortest (tightest) position first, then adjusted any short legs longer so that each leg was stable and didn't rock. This was easy and effective - no teetering of the chairs due to short legs. I love that the chairs are so light weight. They are so easy to pick up and move. Also, I love that they are so comfortable. I like that the legs are painted to look like wood, but they are actually metal, which I believe will be more durable. Hopefully the wood-pattern enamel doesn't get scratched easily. The only downsides are a) they are not stackable, and b) that they are made of light colored fabric and will probably get spilled on (or worse) by grandchildren (I will certainly be spraying them with some sort of fabric protector before putting them into use, with the hope that it helps at least somewhat). I think this set of 4 chairs is a very good value at the listed price of about $188, or about $47 each. I will be buying 4 more to have a complete set of 8 for our dining room table. ... show more

Moving, so we needed to get a kitchen table (we had a large island at our old place, we went with table in the new home) we needed to get shorter chairs and when I saw these I jumped! They look almost identical to the ones we have now that have been beat up pretty badly by the kids. Super simple to assemble! Only take a couples minutes each chairs harder to get it all out of the packaging lol. Feet on each chair are adjustable (little turning things - non technical term). I love the seat backs, they feel a lot more welcoming and comfy on the tush, almost gives it a relaxed feel - which I love we like sitting around the table talking so they are comfortable to sit in. We have an area rug down under the table and chairs but if you were putting directly onto tile or ceramic might want to add something to slow the movement like a felt tab but a small rubber one, especially if you have littles that might tip over the chair. We will be putting some protection on these before we officially start using them to ensure they last as long as possible with 2 little kids its hard. Hard to beat the price tag. Fabric is soft not itchy or irritating on the skin. Super happy with these. Shipping was fast ... show more

I have had a dining table in my den for a few months now without any dining chairs so I did my fair share of research. I wanted chairs that didn't have arm rests to make it easier to slide in and out of them. These chairs are comfortable with the padding and upholstered bottom/back. The frame is made out of metal so they are sturdy and support a good amount of weight, I am a big dude and these chairs hold my 300+ lbs without any issue, it says the weight limit is 300lbs but it can definitely hold more than that. Assembly was pretty simple and took me only 20 minutes to put the set of 4 together and that is with taking my time. I ordered the beige color and it fits well with my wood table. The only thing I would change would be the chair bottom from an X structure to something a little different that may add even more structural support. ... show more

The slim wooden legs and the beige fabric give these chairs a modern and sleek look. Overall, I'm really happy with these chairs. They look great in our room and have a clean, modern style that doesn't look cheap. One thing to be aware of is they're a little taller than you might expect, so check the dimensions before ordering to make sure they'll work with your table and with the users' legs They have kind of a dainty appearance, but don't let that fool you. They're plenty sturdy for normal adult use, including heavier adults. The listed 300-pound weight rating seems a little optimistic to me, but they feel solid and well built. The only real downside is the feet are pretty slick. On hardwood or tile they'll slide around more than I'd like, so I'd recommend putting some rubber furniture pads or non-slip caps on the legs. On an area rug, though, they stay put and aren't an issue. Assembly was straightforward, they're comfortable to sit in, the quality as expected for the price, and they really dress up the room. These came within a week or so. Very well packaged and shockingly small package for getting 4 chairs in there. These were the EASIEST to put together. It's the chair base and an already connect base you simply line up and put 4 screws in. Took me about 15 minutes total! The bottoms have screwable levels which is nice. They are a bit firm so you'll want protectors on the bottoms so you don't scratch your floors. I started with dark black chairs and wanted to lighten things up and I'm glad I took a chance on these. What a gorgeous set of dining chairs! They are super comfortable and plush, and great for sitting in for extended periods of time. Very lightweight and easy to move around. The box they came in was really big, but not super heavy. They were easy to put together (they were only in 2 parts each). They're a nice color and fit well in most house styles.
