This was very easy to install especially after watching the installation video provided by the QR code on the instructions. The hardest part for me was finding a surface large enough to lay it out to cut it! I find it a good quality, good value for my money and definitely worth the purchase. One reviewer said that the corners wouldn't stick, and I had the same problem but once I cut the film to give a 16-in clearance up in that corner it worked fine. That was a recommendation on the installation video. I suggest you follow it. Another reviewer said that there was no protective film on the back and while it is very difficult to get the edge separated and start to remove, it is there. I was amazed at how dark it made the window but yet everything on the outside was clear, not blurry like they show in the product photos. The picture I attached shows the top part of the blinds down but you can see how much darker the window is - much darker than the screened window below it. I went outside and took another picture and while it's not completely mirror like, it's not a sunny day either so I don't know how that's going to affect the view. Standing outside I could see the blinds rather than a complete reflection like a mirror. I'm not sure that I would be happy with it on a window that didn't have blinds or curtains but in my application it's absolutely perfect. Overall, great product and I would highly recommend it.

To be honest, I was very skeptical about putting this film on my windows. I previously had 1” shutters on the lower half of this 3 window set. They had yellowed in places over the years, had broken pieces, were hard to keep clean, and constantly allowed bugs and cobwebs to collect behind them. The shutter brackets also prevented me from being able to use the tilt sash feature on the windows which was aggravating. I knew I needed to get something else on these windows!! This product was extremely durable and easy to work with. After the first window, the process was a breeze. I recommend doing your most inconspicuous window first to work out any issues. My biggest issue was that I didn’t have a super sharp utility blade to cut the excess. I fixed that before I proceeded to the next window, and things went much smoother. I love that this application gives me the privacy that is needed, yet allows enough light for my plants. I think it looks cleaner, more contemporary, and opens up the area without having those busy, clumsy shutters there. And let’s be honest…..this is a heck of a lot cheaper than other window coverings. I also like that this is not permanent. Once dried it is very secure though. Time will tell how it withstands cleaning etc. All in all, this is a WIN WIN for me! Just for FYI: I used the ‘frosted’ film. It was the right choice for me. I think the white would have been too opaque and I didn’t want the busy-ness of the design ones

I’ve used serval brands of window film in the past, but this product is one of the best when it comes to privacy and temperature control. The installation is very straight forward and the end result looked great. You will need a spray bottle filled with some liquid soap & water, a credit card or plastic spackle knife, marker, ruler/measuring tape, straight edge, scissors and/or utility knife.

I have an old, old school door leading from the foyer into my laundry room. I needed something to let light thru but not SEE thru. The door has the 4 windows in the top 3/4 of the door. I had a curtain up, which kept getting in the way. I had a friend who used this on her garage windows and loved it. I needed something opaque enough to not see thru, when the laundry room lights are on. Love this product. Easy to install. Looks perfect. Am glad I bought it and would buy again.

It works during the day, but as stated in the description within massive blocks of text I apparently didn’t skim closely enough, it does nothing at night/evening. Installation was fine, though I don’t recommend it for a massive window as the difficulty is not worth the results or cost.

I just put a second layer of (silver) film on a 26"x42" window, and it seems to have worked just fine. I wanted to see out, but from the outside one layer of film didn't seem enough. Now from the outside (in the day), you can't see a thing even if you're right up against the window. The view from the inside is just a tad darker than with one layer, but you can still totally see out without an issue. If I have problems in the future with the layers peeling away from each other or with bubbles, it's of course easy to remove both layers and put them on again. But so far so good. Great product, actually. Tip: you don't need a lot of soap in your water, just a squirt. I used waaay too much soap for the first layer of film, and it was a total mess.

I was ceryyyyy skeptical about this at first and whether or not it would be effective or help at all. We don’t have AX in our apartment and this last summer was HOT. Our little standing unit couldn’t keep up with even keeping ONE bedroom cool. So we decided to give this product a try since it was the next cheapest/affordable option. My husband installed it and what tool the longest was measuring and cutting it but other than that it was a quick and easy process! It keeps the room a bit dimmer and gives privacy during the day which I love and definitely helped keep it a tad cooler so our AC unit didn’t have to work as hard! Definitely worth it for how little it cost and I think next summer we will add it to our other rooms as well!!
