I love this product for several reason. One, the package contains no plastic. Two, this is a quality product. Three, my hair looks, feels and smells amazing after using it. I first purchased the shampoo and conditioner after noticing someone else with wavy hair have soft curls with no frizz when she told me about this product. I've been using it for over a year. This is one of the best shampoo bars I’ve used! I’ve tried a lot of them, high-end to reasonable priced. This falls in the middle price-wise. Lathers really well and the lather is silky feeling. Cleans and rinses well. Very light scent. Only con is it is very small for the price. Will come back and add to this after I see how long it lasts. Hair is left nice and shiny.

Suds really easily and is really foamy! I have thick but fine hair and struggled with my scalp for a while. I wash my hair everyday now with it and it doesn’t dry it out. I have the no fragrance kind and it’s really gentle. Definitely the best shampoo bar I’ve tried!

I don't know what it is, but this little bar of shampoo makes my waves behave better than anything else I've ever used in the history of ever. I have fine, naturally wavy hair. It waves up amazingly in humid conditions, or it can easily dry straight with body anywhere, or it can frizz and knot up with the wrong products. With this, I can wash my hair, use nothing else, towel-tousle and air dry, and it comes out looking like this. That picture doesn't even do it justice compared to what I see in the mirror. If you have fine wavy hair give it a try. I'm not a huge fan of the smell, but it's completely tolerable given what it does to my hair and it doesn't linger at all so you only really catch it when sudsing up. (The volume one smelled nice: https://amzn.to/3H30GAB ) I find I have to do a few repeated scrubs in the shower to get the best action out of the bar, but my hair comes out clean and balanced. If I remember correctly, I didn't like the conditioner bar ( https://amzn.to/3QCgmOr ) or really find it necessary. I have other conditioners if I want to use them, but like I said this on its own makes it so I don't really need one, or any other products. Also, these things last forever so don't let the price balk you, it's actually a steal for 4-6+ months of shampoo depending on how you use it.

I love this specific formula by HiBar. It is perfect for my medium-long & thick hair, lathers good while leaving a clean feeling not full of shampoo residue like some other recipes can do. I try to shampoo every other day to keep some natural oils in my hair and only use conditioner on the bottom part beyond my scalp to also prevent waxy or oily residue some conditioner bars can leave behind. I’ve tried many other shampoo bar brands and this one lasts well in the shower. I keep it in a caddy away from dripping water and that works well. Always rinsing the suds off after each use and allowing proper drainage to extend the duration of the shampoo bar. I have officially subscribed on Amazon because the small store local to me where I found this brand can’t keep it stocked because it’s that good. Thanks for making a great recipe!

I love the way this product lathers and cleans my hair—I never have any residue left from hair products after I use it. Only rated 3 star for moisturizing since I don’t think that’s the goal. I have not noticed a particularly volumizing effect. It helps with the oiliness (I have pretty oily hair, but it’s not out of control) but not more than any other shampoo for dry hair. That said, it does the job and it does it well. BUT THE SMELL. I bought a solid conditioner from Hibar before and it also smelled bad, but I figured it was just a matter of taste or a one-off, so I gave them another try. This is a different scent (first one was some sort of orange, I believe?), but the underlying scent is still there. It smells like pee. Specifically, cat pee. The top notes are there: orange, lime, fresh, whatever it claims to be. But the overwhelming scent of the product is not dissimilar to urine. I haven’t had COVID; this isn’t a Yankee Candle “why-can’t-I-smell-it” type of deal. It just straight up smells like urine. I can even smell it when I walk into the bathroom, without even using it (yes, I clean my bathroom, it’s not that.). It’s really unenjoyable. I like the products well enough, but not so much that I want to suffer through a pee stench to use them. I want my hair to smell good, or at the bare minimum, at least not like urine. I figured I was going crazy since I haven’t seen many other reviews complaining about the smell, but my boyfriend noticed the same thing. The first time he used it, he said it smelled like cat pee. And that orange conditioner bar I bought a few months back also smelled like pee. I don’t recommend for this reason. If you can’t smell or like the smell of pee, I do recommend. Solid product otherwise.

I ordered this mainly because I have a trip coming up that I don't want to have to deal with packing a lot of liquids for carry on. It is now my everyday shampoo. I have very oily hair and this is the first shampoo I've ever used that keeps my hair clean and non greasy. I can even skip a day now between hair washes which I've never been able to do. It lathers up beautifully. I like the design of the bar as it fits well in my hand. I have been more than pleasantly surprised with this product. 10/10
