A Tiny Titan for FPV Builds I've been building FPV drones for a while now, and the HGLRCM 100 GPS unit has become my absolute go-to for reliable positioning. Pros: Lightning-fast Satellite Lock: Compared to my old BN-880, the HGLRCM 100 acquires a lock in what feels like half the time. It's ready to fly almost as soon as I power up. Rock-solid Tracking: The GPS tracking is incredibly accurate and maintains a strong signal even during aggressive maneuvers. My old BN-880 used to drop satellites during aerobatics, but the HGLRCM 100 just keeps chugging along. Compact Size: The small form factor makes it easy to fit into tight builds. Integrated Compass: No need for a separate compass module, which saves space and simplifies wiring. Cons: wiring: First time I wired up this unit I put the wiring harness in backwards there's one side that goes to the GPS unit and one side that goes to the flight controller however they are not labeled so be careful and watch out. Overall: If you're looking for a top-notch GPS unit for your FPV builds, the HGLRCM 100 is a fantastic choice. It's fast, accurate, compact, and reliable. It's not RTK grade, but it does acquire sats quickly and seems to perform for the money.

I finally got the Compass to work in BetaFlight. I had to reflash the firmware onto my flight controller while adding "Magnetometers" to the "Other Options" category. See Picture. NOW it finally works like it should.

    • This is my favorite gps, but somethings off...
Alright, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I've ordered 6 of these now and I swear some of them achieve gps lock faster than others. I know theres a lot to do with placement, so I tested it and when I swichted the gps on the same plane in the same spot with the wires literally glued down, boom. It locked instantly. I have no way to independently test this other than my own anecdotal evidence, but something seems very off. I have multpule units that are all configured and set up the same way, but take over 10 min to lock, while others are almost instant. All of them are the exact same HGLRC M100 bought from this exact listing. Just be cautious. ... show more

I bought 3 of these for use on quadcopters for GPS rescue. I am happy with all 3. I tested them using uCenter 2.0 before mounting on my quadcopters. All 3 passed testing & locked sats faster than M8 units

What a great GPS at an unbelievably low price. I installed one in my latest drone build and powered it up with Betaflight and it rapidly locked a dozen satellites while sitting on my desk. Having a compass combined with GPS has become a must for me. I will never again buy a GPS unit that does not have a compass. Note: your flight controller needs to have an Ic2 bus (SDA/SCL) to use the compass. ... show more
