This little burner works great! It’s little, but puts out just enough heat to warm you on a cool summer night. We also roasted marshmallows with our grandkids and it worked well.

Use pellets or small wood pieces. I did't see directions and didn't order pellets since I live among the trees. But I stupidly used fatwood - BIG mistake. Smoke billowed out and turned the stainless steel black. It's cleanable, no big deal. Lesson learned. When used properly, it's great! Using mine on a small, glass tabletop, no issues. If using wood you do need to feed it quite often. I imagine pellets would make for a longer fire. It's exactly what I needed for my little, uncovered porch. ... show more

Yes, it can turn black with smoke, but a moist (not wet) rag will clear that up. Wipe down with some sort of WD40 lightly. I dont plan on eating from this thing. Burn off the WD40 after initial cleaning and its good to go for weeks with proper cleaning. I love it. Perfect for a small, intimate burn. No issues with wind putting out the fire. Smoke level never bothered me. The ash from the catch on the bottom will fly out if its really windy outside, but other than that, I have no complaints about it. Just dont leave it in the rain and pack it away when done. ... show more

not smokeless by any means, also turns colors and gets very black on the inside. not very easy to use and incredibly small and difficult to find wood that fits in it. i would not get this size again, maybe the bigger one works better but the tabletop version is awful.
