This is our first Ebikes and we are very impressed in the quality, power and longevity of the battery. The bike feels very solid and safe while going fast speeds. The brakes were a bit squeaky but perform very well. I did follow the heybike video on how to reduce some of the squeak and calibrate them. Our first ride we went almost 12 miles and I mostly used throttle only and the battery was still on all bars. I think for sure you could go over 30 miles on throttle only per charge. Also I was able to get bike on flat up to 29mph with pedal assist on 100% battery and gear 7. The suspension is perfect was able to bump up curbs and down with ease. No being used to bikes we did order different seats that are more comfortable. I spent a full day researching these bikes and at one point had 21 different bikes in my cart. These Rangers where selected because of the range, design, foldability, cost, and the reviews overall. Will highly recommend Heybike as a quality brand. A+++!! ... show more

Arrived very quickly. Assembly was a bit tricky but found some videos online that were great visuals. Bike seems to be built well. Really enjoying riding it. I’m 5’8” and it’s the perfect size. Haven’t gotten it up to top speed yet as I’m enjoying it at 13mph max. Does great on pavement and dirt trails. Goes up hills just fine as well. Did have the headlamp break at the plastic post but customer service was quick at replying to my email and is taking care of it. The motor is perfect for my needs. Battery lasts for awhile. Granted I’m not putting on 20 miles a day but after 2 weeks of riding I finally charged it. Charged in a few hours. I did get the back basket, haven’t really used it yet but looks like it will hold a good size backpack or like my husband said a case of beer. Really happy with my purchase and looking forward to enjoying my e-bike. ... show more

I was so impressed with the one I bought, I bought another one for my wife. Came undamaged and packed well. Was easy to assembly. Took about an hour, and they provide you with all the tools. Would be nice to have a little tool bag to keep them in with the bike. No cheap stuff - everything seems well made with quality material. Motor is more than powerful enough and it is very intuitive to use. I use the pedal assist and it works well. It does a little too much work for my liking and not sure how to turn it down. So far have not done a long enough ride to were down the batteries. I tried to get the app to work - because I thought I could adjust the amount of assist with the app - but so far have not figured it out. Customer services was great - thought I was missing a part, but learned it was shipped separately. ... show more

    • I would buy this e-bike again in a heartbeat!
After the fairly easy assembly I had 2 problems. First one, the LCD display wasn’t working properly. Second, there was a distinct wobble coming from the front wheel. I emailed the company and they bent over backwards to resolve the issues! The bike is now perfect! I couldn’t be more impressed with their customer service. I saw some reviews to the contrary but my experience was exceptionally wonderful! They were very quick to reply to my communications and get my issues resolved. Now to the bike, it has more than enough power to tackle the many hills in my neighborhood. Battery life has been excellent! It is built like a tank, very sturdy and I really like that too. The turn signals, auto headlight function and rear cargo basket put it over the top for me. I would buy this bike again in a heartbeat! And I just discovered the this model is Consumer Reports top pick for a class 2 e-bike! BONUS - because it’s my top pick too!! ... show more

    • Stuck Disc Brake, Can’t Ride, Where Is Customer Service?

I didn’t even get to ride it after assembling. The rear wheel comes preassembled, but it came with a warped rotor that scrapes the frame and the disc brake if you try to rotate the back wheel. I’m trying to return it but I’m not getting a response or any kind of help so far. This is the worst buying experience I’ve ever had on Amazon. Update: They're responding, but now they're telling me to repair it myself and they'll ship a new rotor. Not cool, that is really hard to take apart and reassemble since it's the back wheel. I asked for instructions, and all they sent was a link to a video of a guy replacing the FRONT rotor on a normal non-ebike. They offered $60 to take it into a shop, but the shops are quoting me $100-150 to fix it since this is not an ebike that they sell. I've requested that they cover the full $100-150 repair cost and am waiting for a response. ... show more
