If you’re looking into buying an electric bike this is a great choice, it works really well. I commute to college and this bike make is way easier to get there. It’s currently winter but I’m excited to use it in the summer, as far as power goes it goes up pretty decent hills on throttle only which I find impressive. I love this bike! Having the battery assist has helped me so much in the simple fact that I can go anywhere now. I used to struggle with hills, often getting out to walk, which always sucks when you're on a bike. Now, I just let the motor kick in, keep pedaling, and enjoy every ride. We haven't had a chance to take it on trails yet but I have gone off road a few times and it's amazing. I am a heavier (250+ lbs) rider and it slows down considerably on big hills but, so long as I keep pedaling, it maintains 10 mph or so without me feeling like I'm dying. I like to use the lower assist the remainder of the time so I'm not relying on it but it's amazing how much it can help when you need a boost! Highly recommended if you love cycling but always felt limited to where you can go because of the terrain. ... show more

This is my second E bike. The first was too small for me. This bike is great so far. I've put 14 miles on it.. it is plenty powerful I weigh 250 and it carries me well.. it was easyto assemble. I've seen there is a newer model now. The suspension works great. I've ridden both on and off road up hills and down... It' is plenty fast I've gone 27 mph The headlight is great at night and it has a tail light and brake light.. ... show more

This is our second Heybike purchase (see our Mars in the background) and are enjoying getting back into biking again. As “seniors” we stopped riding several years ago but these bikes allow us to ride much greater distances with the electric motor assistance. We did have a little trouble with the Ranger at first but Heybike customer support came through and got us running again. Fair warning though, you need a little patience due to the time zone difference if you’re like us living on the US east coast. ... show more

My last review was not approved and so I am not able to show pictures of my injuries sustained from this bicycle. I was riding this bicycle when suddenly I was on the ground. I didn’t know what happened until someone driving by Let me know that my front wheel had come off. It also has some weird sharp little piece of metal where the seat post adjusts keeping it from moving so the seat is not able to adjust and the piece of metal is razor, sharp and unable to be removed. If I had not been wearing a full face motorcycle helmet, I might have not lived through this. Wheel came off axel despite being fully tightened I sustained major trauma to both legs and my arm. HeyBike was very unsupportive and wanted videos and medical records. They do not accept returns for any reason even if the bike is defective. I had to contact my bank and describe the incident to recover my funds. HeyBike is now requesting that all contact be done over phone despite me requesting it to be done in writing. I am unable to work, have no transportation now, and cannot even walk. I strongly recommend not buying this bike, it is not well built. ... show more

It has plenty of power to get me up to 25 mph, even with my weight of 210 lbs, and it handles the off-road trails better than I thought it would. Just lke any electric bike, hills can be a bit of a challenge, but overall it handles them well. I'm getting about 25-30 miles per charge, which is great for alternative transportation. The step-through frame makes this bike comfortable and easy to hop on and off, and the removable battery is a great feature. I especially love that it folds down, making it easy to store and transport. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and I would definitely recommend the Heybike Ranger. ... show more
