I have seen some negative reviews on Heybike customer service and I have to say, I have had noting but excellent customer service. Lily, was very responsive and very helpful. I was trying to see if I could get some touch up paint, due to a scratch during shipping, as they do not sell touch up paint, which I recommend they do, I got a store credit and free mirrors. Yes my bike has a scratch, but I can find paint and am satisfied with the out come. The bike is AMAZING, fun and fast!! upon arrival battery was not fully charged (normal condition), assembly was easy, every single parts fit perfectly, Exception the front basket: the 2 screws on bottom/ lower side of the basket has very small clearance so hard to install the 2 screws, you need a straight allen wrench. The rear basket installation also pain you can tell its an aftermarket product. I will make some good brackets so its fits sturdy. If you cant fabricate your own brackets you are better off with the saddles. The manufacturer paid attention to most details weld-beads are looks nice and strong the bike turning heads in the park. I'm using it for goin fishing to local lakes therefor I have an extra 50-60lbs load, total of about 265lbs. Battery dropped form full to about 50% under 12.3 mile with one incline (overpass) I did not loose speed while crossing. Do not except max distance listed if you have similar loads. The motor is strong have to be careful on start bc it wants to do a wheele, acceleration is obviously good as well. With 210lbs load on full throttle it kept 19.8 miles/hr on flat road, have to say also fully loaded 265lb ish kept the 19.8mile/hr as well. I did not install the app as of yet. after a day of use I can not be happier. ... show more

Really not happy with this purchase and it is going back at my expense, the bike arrived with significant flaws the scariest being a failed throttle with no safety and an mind of its own, and most annoying the wrong battery charger. The scratched frame and broken crank cover made of cheap plastic was not good. My son was thrown off he bike when the throttle engaged at a level 4 with no warning, and my boyfriend had a huge gash in his thumb from getting pinch by the folding mechanism That has no way to lock in a closed position for transferring. Bike feels incredibly unsafe overall and is cheaply designed. Spend a little extra money to get a better bike locally! If you have any questions look up reviews on the BBB. Update- shipping back at my expense with FedEx is over $500 - shameful! Trying to fight with the sellers Now to have them cover the return shipping of their junk! ... show more

We love this bike! It was reasonably easy to assemble (less than 10 parts with clear instructions that took about 15 minutes). The packaging was solid, and the bike arrived in perfect condition. Learning how to operate it took a few minutes of reading the manual, and some experimentation with the controls, but within another 15 minutes I was cruising the neighborhood. Start slow and take it easy, as when you get to the higher levels of pedal assist and higher gears, this thing really flies! It was the best birthday gift my wife ever received (yes!). ... show more

a) This listing here says the bike goes 28 mph b) Upon arrival the manual says it goes 20 mph c) Verdict: the bike goes 20 mph (boosted) but I guess it is fine because it feels pretty fast and you can manually pedal it faster without the boost if desired just like any bike. Or maybe they sent me the wrong one and they do make a 28 mph boost Mars model, but that's not this one. Other reviews note that the bike has a 'kick' This is the electric assist kicking in. Be ready for it. The main boosted speeds are 6.5 mph, 13 mph, and 19.2 mph. Acceleration is not gradual, but it is fine if you are ready to ride. I don't see any warranty information on this listing. Upon arrival, the manual says it's a Limited 30 day warranty. And the odometer must have less than 10 miles on it, so you need to make up your mind promptly. The bike is nice, so I guess my main curiosity is why it says 28 mph all over this listing, but the manual states (and the bike only goes) 20 mph boosted. I went over 10 miles on my very first ride, so the warranty burns up pretty fast. I hope this thing is built well and lasts a few years. EDIT: additional information - I've been looking all over the internet (and in other reviews here) and found some information that perhaps the 28 mph boost can be added IF USING THE PHONE APP FOR THE BIKE. Well, that's a terrible restriction, especially since the app is reviewed so poorly overall (crashes, lockups, time-outs, etc). I'm not sure I want to chance it. EDIT: Customer service contacted me and confirmed that it is capable of 5 incremental levels of acceleration, and it seems to confirm my theory that the last two levels (between 20 and 28) must be unlocked by using the app. I am still considering whether I want to try it or not.
