First impression review Bike was in perfect condition when it arrived at my door the bike was packed with plenty of protection, and FedEx did a great job. The Assembly was fairly simple follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the manual do not go by the video assembly instructions.     • Very poor customer service: long lag time for responses to getting no response..
The media could not be loaded. Heybike customer service sent me an email 5/16/24 as follow up with an offer of either a free front and or rear basket as compensation as well as resending the links to videos that will not fix my problem. Here is my response: I am far from bring happy with Heybike Support and Service. A front or back basket I do not want is not a solution. I was able to find a local Heybike dealer to take the bike to. The switch to release the battery was broken internally. On top of that the battery cell was not holding its charge therefore defective. It is my understanding that the dealer was able to order a warranty replacement and he is waiting for its delivery. On top of that he confirmed that the headlight sensor that would not turn off was defective and had to be replaced. Bottom line I purchased a product that is defective. I just want assurances that these repairs and replacement parts are completely covered by Heybike and that the dealer is fully reimbursed for parts and labor. I did purchase from Amazon the warranty protection plan but to be honest at this early point of the purchase it should be Heybike’s responsibility. The amount of effort and the delays in response times in trying to get resolution is really unacceptable. Charles Agnew Ok I am really not happy with this poor level of customer service. I recent you the video of the problem with the battery release on 4/30/24. It is now 5/10/24! And not a word. I have found a local dealer of Heybike's nearby; E-bike Guys of PA in New Holland PA 17557. They asked me to drop off the bike to them. Once I made the trip, they informed me of what I already knew, that it is a warranty issue and since I purchased the bike from Amazon, they could not honor the warranty. The also informed me that Heybike would require me to send the bike to Heybike in CA at an out of pocket cost of around $400. Is this true? I left the bike with them to see if they could get the battery to release. That has been a week and I have not heard from them and I am following up. To say I am angry is a mild way of putting it. Also there is the secondary issue of the malfunctioning light sensor that turns the headlight on at night fall and will not turn off.. draining the battery because I can not remove the battery. This really is not very funny and rather sad. I have ridden the bike a total of three times. I enjoyed it but I now really regret making this purchase. I am also informing Amazon From my perspective the battery has to be forcibly removed and replaced at no cost to me.. or maybe even better. The entire bike be replaced. ... show more

    • Needed second bike to fully assemble after refund
Ordered in August and got prompt delivery. Assembly went well until trying to piece together the front stem. Many e-mail exchanges and phone calls to customer service finally get recognition there was a defect. Packed up bike and sent it back to warehouse in New Jersey. Issued full refund and ordered second one. Several extra parts were sent to try and fix the problem. Second bike was ordered and sent with even faster delivery. Had similar problems, but this time I contacted the closest dealer by phone and got excellent advice. The closest dealer that sell Heybikes is 120 miles away from where I live near Seattle so taking the bike there is impractical. Have taken it on several rides and found it most satisfying. Took the first one to local bike shop and they were not familiar with the stem alignment so had to rely on e-mail technical support. Given technical support is in China, they did all they could to satisfy my concerns. Many great features come with the bike. ... show more

    • First e-bike. Great customer service
I purchased my first e-bike from HeyBike...a CityRun model. I love it. Used it a few times and then a part failed (front hydraulic brake). Contacted Heybike customer service and they promptly sent me an entire new front brake assembly. I went to my local bike shop to have the brakes installed. I sent Heybike the receipt for installation of the brakes and they promptly credited my account for the installation cost. I greatly appreciated the prompt and considerate customer service.     • Great bike for commuting
This bike is very comfortable and then signals helpful when interacting with drivers. I have been able to commute to work everyday with it and it’s been pleasant. The only thing I would say is “wrong” is the instruction manual, it needs updating especially regarding the front wheel assembly.
