I don't personally use the knife, but the description from my wife is that it cuts like nothing else we have owned. We have tried knives from cooking store, but to be fair we have never purchased a single knife this expensive and she says it's worth it. It's cheaper to get the set when the set is on sale... So if you like Hexclad and need new knives, I would order the set and save money, that's the only regret vs this single knife. The forged wavy lines on the blad stand out that this isn't a cheaper cast blade. The handles come in green and brown, this green is a classy look and my wife says it is well balanced and handles well. The blad feels thinner than our other cheaper knives, and that seems like it would make it a lesser knife, but it's what you would think a tiny samurai sword would cut like. Nice packaging. The main reason for my purchase is Knife has green wood handle. Box says knife made in China. Hexclad makes a big profit by charging $129 for product made in China.
