I love that it opens from the top, side, and front! It's a pretty good size for a small dog or large cat. I fit a 9lb cat and her 2 small kittens in this carrier to take to the Vet (a stray that decided to have kittens in my shed). It had a strong plastic smell but was fine once 'aired' out overnight. The bottom has an insert that has a harder surface with a cushion on top, that can be taken in and out to clean easily. Sturdiness is okay, but not the same of course as a hard carrier, I'd be nervous to try and carry a 25lb animal in this though.

This carrier is great. If you live in an apartment and are strapped for space, this is definitely the option for you. You can unzip every side of this carrier and lay it almost completely flat. The bottom of the carrier has a fleece lined comfort pad, it’s just okay but it works nicely for colder days; I typically flip it over during the summer time. My cat is 6 years old and weighs 8 lbs, she is a smaller cat and fits comfortably in this carrier. If your cat is bigger than 10/12lbs, they may be a little limited for space in this carrier. I have used this carrier a number of times and have only seen minimal wear on the fleece comfort pad (from scratching) and on the netting on the side (also, from scratching). Overall, recommend!!

My cats are less afraid of going into this mesh sided carrier than the hard plastic kind…it is less intimidating for them. They didn’t resist it too much and once in it, they adapted much more easily than they did in the hard plastic kind. Also there are more zipper doors making it easier to get them in and out. They are 7 month old female cats and they could both squeeze into 1 carrier, but I’m purchasing a 2nd one now for when they get spayed so I can keep them separate so they don’t lick one another’s incisions. I’m happy with this purchase. Had a mild plastic smell upon opening and that’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but it went away after a few minutes.

I have purchased two of these carriers for each of my two cats. The seem to like the ability to see more than with their old carriers. They are roomy and I like that the top does not collapse on top of them the way their old carriers did. My cats do not like being confined do they will not be napping inside them during the day. They easily fold up. Very pleased.

Our cat HATES being put into pet carriers (good luck getting him into one without a heckuva' fight and some nice fresh scratches), so we figured maybe a soft roomy carrier like this with lots of "doors" and "windows" might be the best choice for him. He'll still hate it of course, but at least it seems much more pet-friendly than those hard-shell carriers. Our only criticisms of this product are: (1) the rear pocket should have a zipper closure to keep things inside it from falling out (2) the blue color pictured is misleading - ours is more of a lighter teal blue, which we don't care for as much

These worked great. My Maine coon loved it. Took him and his sister to the vet today and they both did well in them. He weighs 16 pounds, my DSH weighs 12. We have the gray carrier and the pink, and I will buy another one for my 6 pound Moggie. She’ll grow into it. Thrilled that the pink one came yesterday, And that I was able to use it today. It’s easy to carry, and to store. I have a bad back, so it is lightweight, yet sturdy enough to carry my big boy around without any extra weight.

Got this to replace the hard shell carrier we got my cat was a kitten (you can see the difference in the photograph!). I think this will be a lot roomier (did get the large size) and nice for vet/car trips. It feels pretty sturdy although for long distances you might want a softer pad or towel for the bottom. The sherpa is fine for short trips though! I like the carrying strap and the pocket for treat/leash/portable water bowl etc as it’s a pretty big pocket!

SIt is a nice green color. Is durable and zippers work great. I haven’t had any problems. There was a strong plastic smell when I first got it so I suggest you air it out or leave it out for a few days to get rid of that smell. I soon as the smell went away, after airing out in my outside for a few days, my car was more willing to get inside or just be near the carrier.
