  • Can't beat a henckel

  • It cuts tomatoes
Style: Statement
I have been struggling with only straight edge knives to cut tomatoes and been really unhappy with the results. It’s a breeze now.

  • Heavy duty feeling- but NOT knife shown in first image labeled Statement
Style: Statement
Heavy duty feeling- but NOT knife shown in first image with the straight edge tip labeled "Statement" which I wanted to slice thru tough materials. It actually looks like the other 3-4 Statement pictures where the point curves into a "cone" so you have to raise the back of the knife to use the point. It is thick and heavy though- seems sharp and is made in China, not Germany like the set I already own. However my German set is thinner and lighter- don't feel as solid as this China knife. *Just FYI- any knifes with "one little guy" on the icon is made in China. The more expensive German made knifes have "two little guys" on the logo. I assume the German ones will outlast the cheaper Chinese ones but who knows. Henckel/Zwilling are related but not same line of knifes so be careful. ... show more

  • Great small serrated knife

Well made smaller serrated knife that comes in handy for smaller cutting jobs. Very sharp.

  • Perfect for its job
Style: Statement
I use this daily to slice tomatoes. Lots of cherry tomatoes. The knife got misplaced. I used a gwneric 6" kitchen blade, which didn't pierce tomato skin as successfully, until I got fed up. I ordered this as an exact replacement. The handle has an ergonomic design that sits perfectly in my palm. My hands are sized as Mediums for rubber supermarket gloves. Absence made the heart grow fonder in this case. Glad I ordered this reliable knife to replace the missing original. Quality is reliably identical to the original that I had purchased ~15yrs ago. ... show more

  • Nice knife but not as comfortable as the older model
Style: Statement
I purchased a version of this same knife about 15 years ago and it was my go-to knife for everything in the kitchen. I loved it. Sadly, part of the handle broke off after a drop on the floor - after a LOT of use. I purchased this as a replacement while I send the original back to be repaired. The blade is just as good, but the handle feels thicker and less comfortable. I assume it was just redesigned. I’m getting used to it, but it’s definitely not as good as the old model. ... show more

  • Too Heavy and Thick
Style: Statement
Not exactly what I wanted. I was looking for a light weight, thin bladed knife for slicing and dicing vegtables and fruit. This is just too heavy and the blade too thick for my liking. In fact I tried cutting a slice of butter, I just took out of the refrigerator, and had a hard time cutting a thin slice of butter. It's a bruiser of a knife and really dosen't cut very finely. I managed restaurants and worked in many kitchens and this is not a knife I'd ever use in that type of setting. ... show more
