Description

Our patent-pending design is a refreshing alternative to helmet quick-release buckles of the past. The Helmet Clip design makes for easy installation and requires no tools. The results of our independent tensile testing reports, that the Helmet Clip exceeded the requirements for helmet chinstrap retention by 92% and scored 70% higher than the rest of the helmet quick releases tested. After 597 Pounds of force, the manufacturer's D-rings began to warp and the yellow area indicates a period where the Helmet Clip was still holding after the D-rings started to bend. Notice how the main buckle on the Helmet Clip remained undamaged. The product that claimed to be the strongest, had the worst test results. All metals are not equal. Diecast Metal or Pot Metals are typically used for toys and costume jewery, not safety equipment. 2 out of the 3 test results were below industry standards for motorcycle helmet retention systems. 100% of test samples using Slider Buckles abruptly broke because of the Slider Buckle. In this example and the last, you can see an abrupt decline in the product's performance, once the max load has been reached. Products that use Slider Buckles have proven unreliable for helmet retention systems. Nobody wants to be uncomfortable while on a motorcycle ride. Especially a long ride. Try to avoid D-ring conversion kits that sit on top of your helmet's D-rings. Having the D-Rings dig into your jaw for a couple minutes might be ok. But, this would probably uncomfortable for an extended ride. 100% of the products tested that used Slider Buckles broke becuse of the slider. Once the Slider breaks, the entire strap comes off and so can your helmet. What might seem to be a solid product is only as strong as it's weakest link. Prior to submitting samples for industry testing, the products needed to pass our preliminary drop test of 15 pounds from an 8ft height, Not a single plastic product passed the preliminary test and were not submitted for industry testing. Some plastic products we could pull apart just by tugging on them. We would not recommend using a plastic quick connect on your motorcycle helmet. In an unexpected collision, the force of impact can exceed 500 pounds of force on a motorcycle helmet There are some products using a tiny screw to secure it to the helmet. Is that that what you want to rely on in a critical moment? This is the wrong way! Do not install your Helmet Clip like this. Misleading advertising from others claims that this way of attaching to the D-rings is unsafe. We agree. The Helmet Clip is designed to weave in and out of your D-rings as you see in the next photo. Attach your Helmet Clip by weaving the strap in and out of your helmet's D-rings, and then securing the snap. Our test results prove that The Helmet Clip withstood nearly twice the force of the nearest competitor. The screw that some of the other helmet buckles use is very tiny. When our samples arrived for testing, we took this photo next to a penny to demonstrate how small of a screw was being used to secure the buckle to your helmet. Wrong Way! Right Way! Smaller than I thought! Gloves are not an issue when it comes to operating the Helmet Clip buckle. We paid close attention to rider needs when designing this helmet quick release. The Helmet Clip is designed to allow you to feed your helmet chinstrap through the slots without having to cut the snap off the end of your chinstrap. Should you decide to remove or transfer your Helmet Clip to another helmet, you can do so without altering your helmet! Scan the QR Code with your cell phone or visit the website on the back of the packaging for detailed video instructions on how to properly install the Helmet Clip on your helmet. Only the highest quality materials are used in construction of the Helmet Clip stainless steel buckle. The stainless steel is ratcheted for a solid metal to metal connection. The two parts click together like a perfect marriage. Only until the red tab is pulled will they part. Each Helmet Clip is inspected for the best quality product we can supply to our costomers.

  • Buckle works excellent
This looks exactly like a few of my helmets that came with the buckle kit. Easy to install and works great. If your helmet does not have a buckle like this don’t hesitate to purchase 1 or more of these.

  • Easy Installation and Feels Robust
So far I'm enjoying the quick release buckle, it has made it easier and faster to put on and remove my helmet. It feels like good quality and like it will hold up over time, but time will tell. The only thing I would like to see is a version with pull tab, sometimes I have to fidget around to try to find the latch to take off my helmet. Instructional video was simple to follow and installation was pretty simple. I did find that I didn't have to remove the strap button on any of my helmets so I left it alone (I didn't want to risk breaking it), then I took the strap and fed it up through the cloth where the strap comes out from so I don't have the excess just flapping around in the wind. ... show more

  • Easy to install and solid locking.
Very good product for converting to this type of system. Just be aware that it adds an inch to the tightest setting. So it may feel a little loose if you’re used to sinching the strap tight.

  • Worked great for 1 inch helmet strap
Wanted to convert my i100 modular helmet from D ring to quick attach. This fit perfectly and was easy to install once you figure it out. Highly recommended

  • This is a must have for your helmet
This is wonderful. Very easy to setup and easy to use. I bought more for my other helmets. I can easily close and open with gloves on. I am surprised that these were only $15

  • A great quick release system
A nice fastener for your helmet. And it works great.

  • Won't stay tight
Quality item, well built, easy enough to install. That being said, my issue with it is it doesn't stay tight. I adjust it before putting the helmet on, and after riding for a while it goes from snug fit to lose enough I can fit more than a fingers width between the strap and my chin. I followed the instructions and watched a couple videos on YouTube on how to put it on just to make sure that I didn't do something wrong. I love the concept, the locking and release mechanism works great, just worry about the safety of it if it won't stay snug. . ... show more
