Other than that, you can mount our chin strap adapter without the need of tools or sewing. If you remove the small plastic snap from your helmet and decide later you want to remove the clip, the plastic kam-snap can be replaced esialy. Beware of non-kit clips out there. They require sewing the strap. This would not be safe!

This has saved my wallet! My dog ended up chewing my chin strap on my motorcycle Hemet. Unfortunately there is no way of replacing it, for obvious safety reasons and I almost had to buy another $200 helmet. There was just enough strap left to fit this thing on and it's snug. There's multiple notches on the metal part to adjust how tight it's on but if your dog didn't eat your chinstrap, there shouldn't be much issue with adjustment for you. It's comfortable, no sharp pieces stick out that jab you, and alot easier than having to loop through the buckles everytime you take it on and off. It's reusable, so you can easily use this on your next helmet when you get a new one. I'd buy a new one if you ever end up in an accident. But for the price, it's definitely worth it. There's a YouTube video on how to install it. Make sure you follow the directions perfectly so it doesn't end up slipping or something. This buckle is of great quality. It's comfortable, it fits my straps, it's smooth to latch and unlatch, and easy to use. I have a GMAX-01 helmet and had to break the snap off the trap to fit it through the slots of the buckle, but you won't need it once your buckle is installed. It's much faster to have these versus the D rings. It's worth the money vs the cheap 3 packs. ... show more

Worked well with my HJC I90 helmet. I did NOT have to cut either snap off. It fit well through the supplied clips. Took some patience in removing cheek pads and adjusting a few times to get it to fit right. Good quality.

    • wish all helmets had this
bought to replace the d-ring clip on current helmet as I hated having to loosen and tighten each time I put it on. I was worried about cutting the strap but this has held without issues since I've put it on. would highly recommend for the ease of use. If I need another one I will purchase again.

    • So much easier than using D rings every time!
Installation was easy, but it took a bit of fiddling to get the non-D ring side tight enough with my particular helmet. However, once I got it adjusted it works great! It makes putting on and taking off the helmet so much easier, and the helmet stays consistently secure. I would highly recommend!

Just seems to me, that it's to bulky, and makes the straps long with the D rings still installed. Clasp is under chin instead of on the cheek.

I’ve used Quick Clips in years past. This is clearly a better design. Functional and easy to operate. Took a bit of finagling to get final adjustment like I wanted it but if I did another one it would be a snap. (Pun Intended). I can recommend this.
