Will keep you dry but be aware it's not heavy material . This is just a rain jacket Light weight You will need the "work wear " line if you are looking for the thickness as the old ones .. The heavy weight jacket gale is about 105$ The material reminds me more of like cheap fake leather . If that makes any sense. Love that the inside doesn’t feel rubber /plastic like some other rain jackets like the PreCip. Great price point. More durable than DWR and not ridiculously expensive so you don’t feel guilty doing rough work on it. I spent four hours outside in driving rain unbothered and dry with a hoodie below and rain pants. This is a very effective raincoat that looks good enough to wear to a nice restaurant without looking like you are in athletic wear. Fits well, nice pocket storage. It could benefit from an internal pocket, but it's a good jacket!
