I have 3 of these fixtures installed outside and they are a "install, program and forget" type of product. They are light weight, easy to mount with the template and work in any type of weather conditions. I have these set to come on at dusk at the low light setting. They easily stay illuminated for 8 - 10 hrs. One light is programmed to activate at dusk for the evening and increase in brightness when motion is detected for about 1 minute. I live in the "hood" and these have kept the intruders out of my back and side yards. Since they are solar powered, there is no wiring required. Nicad internal batteries have lasted for about 4 years.

The media could not be loaded. The introduction for this whale tale solar light said the battery could be changed so I worked on it and got the panel off and was impressed…. It’s a huge battery…. I like the design of it… not water proof but looks like the way it was designed it won’t let water sit in it and ruin the components…. Time will tell…. Also like the sleek design, very thin and the light is very bright…. Also like the remote control sent with it… probably won’t use it much but I am installing it on my motor home and don’t want to have to get up on a ladder to have to adjust it or turn it off or anything else…. I will keep the battery isolater tab inserted in the remote control so maybe the battery will stay fresh for when I need it…. If this thing quits working I will rewrite my review but for now I would recommend this light….

This light is going out on my patio so as to light that area up as well as the area below the patio down on the street where cars are parked. It has a good range so if you are one story up, you can install this light and illuminate what's below and that will work. The sensor on it is accurate and picks up movement 12 to 15 ft away or more. And it has several modes that can be applied for various lighting needs. It is well made and should last outside in the wet damp weather where it will be used. It does have a waterproof rating so we'll see how that lasts. But I like this light and it's well designed and it was easy to install with two screws and my drill. Free energy when you need it. I suggest getting several of these to save money for your exterior lighting. And at the power is off you still work because our beautiful sun is always on duty

Really liked the idea of this product but when we opened the package, parts described in the installation were not there so we returned it. To us, these missing parts were the main reason we purchased this type of solar light.

Nice and bright and the motion sensor works good. It was the perect shape for what I wanted to put over the door of my shed and points down over the doorway and allows me to see inside the shed somewhat. It's as bright as I'd hoped it would be and I'm quite happy with it. How My Star Rating System Works & What They Mean: 1 STAR - Pretty much junk and I would return and ask for a refund if I could. 2 STAR - It works, but barely meets the minimum requirements it should in order to keep it and not return it, but I would not order again. 3 STAR - It does what it was designed to do, but there's nothing really special about it. It's acceptable but not great. 4 STAR - I am very comfortable recommending it to a friend because it is is well made, durable, and delivers on its advertised features, and I would buy it again. 5 STAR - I really love it. The item exceeds my expectations of quality, durability and functionality. Not only would I purchase it again, but I would also actively encourage friends and family to do the same. All of my reviews are my own personal opinion and are completely honest no matter if I receive an item for free or I pay for it. I like the simple design of this solar light. It was very easy to install, and it turns on just when it's supposed to. The light isn't as bright as I'd like however, but it is good enough for illuminating a dark area of the yard.

The media could not be loaded. It says color changing modes so i thought you can change it to warm white. But its “color changing” means high med low light modes. It’s decently bright gets the job done. Its very thin and with the solar and light together there is no wires or seeing solar panel its very seamless and thin i do like it i wish it was warmer white but that’s ok.
