After about 3 months of using one for my keys (key fob for car, and 3 other keys on ring), almost every edge is now silver since the paint has completely rubbed/chipped off. Still mostly black, so it isn't that big of a deal. I mainly got these since they look to be solid and wont let keys accidentally work themselves off the ring.
