Companies should inform customers when products have been altered so we can make informed decisions. I bought this exact product from CCS Chicago Canvas several years ago and paid $30 dollars less. It was a sturdy tarp so I agreed to pay the current price thinking I was getting the same quality. I recently noticed the new tarp, though color and sheen are similar, is about half as thick as the first with a different naterial consistency. I serously doubt it will be as durable and really wish I had not bought it or that I had noticed the issue within the return period.

This is a very heavy duty tarp. It is also just really heavy. I have gone through to many poly tarps so I finally decided to bite the bullet. I think many will write off a vinyl tarp for money reasons but if you need something covered long term or you know there will be a lot of wind and rain just buy it. I will probably save money on the long run. This tarp looks, feels, and performs at a totally different level than cheap tarps, even the grommets seem higher quality. No complaints here. Update June 2020 - After this tarp being in the weather for a year it has held up very well. You can see from the picture attached that there is fading and discoloration from the sun. If this doesn’t bother you then definitely get the tarp it is still in fantastic shape and does it job flawlessly. Far superior to normal poly tarps.

I’m extremely impressed with the thickness & the color of this tarp!! The color matches my gazebo perfectly!! This tarp certainly appears to be extremely heavy duty. Certainly doesn’t seem to rip or tear very easily. Has the holes on the ends to stake it/tie it down. I have the tan colored tarp. I used my tarp as the gazebo flooring for my tent so we do not have to walk on grass inside the tent. Then I covered the tarp with a weatherproof outdoor mat/rug. Yes, it’s on the expensive side, but it’s well worth it. Based off the thickness of this tarp, it should last for many many years. Worked out well for the purpose I needed it for.

I used this tarp to cover my pergola. It gives alot of shade. I will let you know how it holds up against rain. Seams very durable and thick. Its definitely vinyl and not a knock off. What i did not like was yellow markings around the grommets and having to wipe off dirt. At first i thought the paint from the brass grommets was running. Then i realize it was markings for the manufacturer to know where the grommets go. They could atleast cleaned those off before packaging. On a white tarp its very noticable. I couldnt get it all off. There is still a yellow tint in those areas. Hopefully the rain will take care of it. And i had to clean off dirt. Clean your product before you package it! Its not that hard!

For all those who are looking for a WATERPROOF tarp, this is it. Definition of Water-PROOF: When water FALLS OFF & does NOT soak through. : ) It is nice NOT to have to keep replacing tarps anymore. If you want something to last YEARS...you need to get a VINYL tarp that is at least 18-22% VINYL !! (so i was told-for the windy High deserts). Kept our hay dry in RAIN, SNOW and VERY HIGH WINDS !! : )

We bought this to replace a kennel cover tarp and it is a major upgrade. It has held up well for a couple months so far in some strong summer thunderstorms. It is heavy duty material without being too heavy. It feels about 3 times the thickness of a regular tarp. We got it in the gray or charcoal color and it looks nice on the dog kennel. For the price this a super nice tarp.

We use this to cover a grill that we couldn't find a suitable cover for at a reasonable price, and this will probably last longer in any event. The tarp we received is well made, and has gone through rain and wind with no problems. It will get quite a bit of direct sun in summer, I'll update the review if there are any problems but so far I'm not expecting any given the quality.
