This is a very heavy duty tarp. It's extremely heavy. the grommets seem strong. I was able to use it as a shelter. It does seem to collect moisture even though it's water proof and it always feels wet or greasy. It has a smell to it that some may not like. But with use I'm sure this will pass. I used it for a shelter to teach my Trail Life group how to build a tent from a tarp.

When the tarp was anchored with rope through the grommets, the tarp separated from one the the grommets. As a result, a hole was created. Other than securing the tarp, there was no stress on the tarp. The quality of the material is very good, but the installation of several grommets is poor. I anticipate additional issues, based on the installation of several grommets.

Size listed is pre-made size. Once the hem is applied and the corners reinforced, you lose 2 inches, so a 10' x 12' turns out to be 9'10" x 11'10". Had I known this, I would have opted for another brand.

Nice oiled tarp

I am writing about the DDRS Heavy Duty Waterproof Canvas Tarp - 6x8. This tarp is incredibly heavy duty. At only 6 x 8 ft., it must weigh 10 or 12 lbs. It is seriously (!) heavy duty and thick and rugged, I can picture it protecting just about anything one could think of. I've not had it rain on this tarp yet but I have no doubt whatsoever considering the heaviness and the feel of the treated canvas that this thing is going to be waterproof as advertised. In short, this is far and away a cut above the standard tarps that are out there. I'm not in the market for another tarp just yet but when I need another one, I will be going to this company guaranteed; the other tarps I own, and there are many, are not anywhere near the quality. I imagine I will be using this heavy duty canvas tarp for many years to come. I highly recommend it.

Opened up packing and on unfolding tarp the first fold there was two holes in the tarp and on the second unfold there was two more holes in the tarp you could put your fingers through the holes I only on folded the two folds wasn’t impressed about quality control and I am still waiting for the replacement hope it delivered with no holes in the tarp
