All tarps are (eventually) disposable items. I looked for a while for a good quality tarp to cover my firewood which is stacked against a wood fence. I secured one side of this tarp to the fence with #10 screws and fender washers. This way I can roll the tarp over my firewood when rain is forecasted. The tarp is very thick and under some tension as I stretched it out across the fence when screwing it in place. So far there is no sign of wear or damage. Eyelets are not rusting after several rains. It seems to reflect damaging rays pretty well. Time will tell how it holds up but it's very well made and I expect several years from it. ... show more

This isn't the easiest size to find. It seemed I had a choice of really thin tarps or paying more for this one. I almost always find paying a little more for good quality is well worth it. This tarp is heavy, which I expected. The surprise was the grommets. The four corner ones have extra reinforcements on them. For my purposes that is ideal. There is also a cord of some sort inside that goes all the way around the edges. That also looks like it could add to the strength of the tarp. I am very happy I bought it. ... show more

Tarp appears to be pretty tough and seems strong...very thick...I put it up over a dog pen, with the strong winds,storms and harsh sun I usually go through about 3 a year....I believe and hope this one will do much better....time will tell....but it seems great! Tarp has been up for three months now and we have had several bad storms with intense winds including nearby tornadoes.... No rips, tears,no grommet issues....holding up great..looks like I just put it up today! Today is November 9 2018 nearly 2 years after I put this tarp over my dog pen snow cold heavy rain( 2 hurricanes) and blistering heat and I just noticed a small tear where tarp rubs on the pen, a little gorilla tape on it and I think it will be fine, but just in case I am so happy with this tarp I had to look it up so I can now purchase a new one definitely worth the money and highly recommend! ... show more

    • Size as stated, good construction, should be durable.
Perfect for the intended use to cover the roof of a Shelter Logic shed that was many years old. The roof really started to deteriorate on the side that faced the sun. And the deep snow last winter didn't help. The roof started to shred. Tried Gorilla Tape, but didn't think it would be able to hold up with the weight of snow this year. So I ordered the tarp that would cover it front to back and reach the ground on both sides. This tarp is very heavy and the size is as stated. That there are plenty of grommets all around the sides is a great feature. I also used some neat gadgets to attach to the edge of the tarp and used tent stakes and rope to anchor it in place. It withstood 50 mph winds so far and didn't move an inch. When this one eventually reaches its end, I'll replace it with the same thing. It looks like it should last many years. I hope this evaluation is long forgotten by the time I could say how long it lasts. ... show more

    • Tough and thick--just the way I wanted it!
This thing is tough. Used it in very rocky soil for a ground cover tarp underneath my tent on very rocky ground. Other tarps would get beat up, or would end up with small holes. This one is a champ, so far. No holes at all. I also will note that the size ratio (I think there were a few options from this manufacturer/seller) were great--I found one that was a perfect fit for under the tent, but that left a two foot extension out the entrance side. This made it perfect to take off really dirty shoes, etc., etc. and keep the tent clean. That made it feel like this was a custom ground cloth for my tent.
