Why did you pick this product vs others?: Wow! For 37 years, we have been buying and installing the wrong dog door until now! This is worth every single cent! This is a two flap exterior wall dog door. We got XL which fits out average sized Labrador with room to spare. It has heavy duty magnets to keep flaps closed even with wind! I like that they are clear and let more light in! Note that the magnets opening and closing make noise but I dont mind that, I know when my senior and puppy go in and out so I can monitor them. I am so so happy with this purchase. I am also a certified professional dog trainer and recommend it to all of my clients interested in dog doors! It was a bit more expensive and I chose to use a professional to install (well, I contacted an installer first and this is the only dog door they would install because of the quality).... and I am so happy I did! I just cant talk this dog door up enough. Everything about it oozes quality, ease of use, and dogs love having control over going in and out!

We bought this after our $500 electric dog door turned into a monthly repair expense. This door is very sturdy. We love the double flaps and the magnetic closure. Our high winds haven’t been an issue at all.

I wanted something heavy duty to replace that terrible one I have, I actually bought 2 of these. They come with screws or rivets but the instructions only tell you to use rivets. The first one I installed I used the screws, you have to drill a hole in the 8 locations of your choosing after you clamp them together. It was fine but I kind of wanted a rivet gun anyway and you can get them for less than 20. Once my rivet gun came in, I used that instead and was much happier with the installation. The flaps are pretty heavy duty, which I Like, it doesn't blow open easy like my doggy door, in fact I haven't notice it blowing open at all. I also like that it does with slide in locking cover for both sides You're going to need A drill Metal drill bit (I used a step bit) 2 clamps rivet gun (optional)
