    • Very nice, but with a few minor concerns.

I searched Amazon and the "big box" stores, and this was the only one that met my qualifications: mosaic top with matching pit cover insert, and relatively small diameter. This one is generally quite nice, but I have a few complaints that shoppers need to consider: 1) with three legs held together with six bolts, it's quite wobbly. Secure, but wobbly. 2) the gap between the ring and the cover insert is larger than I would have liked. I expected a tighter fit. 3) the mesh fire cover is neither large enough to fit around the outside of the bowl, nor small enough to settle down inside the bowl rim. It can't make up its mind how it wants to sit. Not a significant concern. 4) the outer ring is a bit to narrow to be of much practical use when the insert lid is removed. But with the lid in place, it's quite spacious. Yes, I'm being picky, but why not tell all? What I do like: 1) The mosaic surface is beautiful and well finished. 2) it's quite heavy -- not going anyplace -- not tipping over. 3) Packing materials were excellent -- not much chance of damage in transit. 4) although heavy, it was easy to assemble. (But I felt sorry for the delivery guy!) 5) I like the soft plastic (not rubber) foot pads. They'll prevent marks on the patio floor and separate the metal feet from the wet floor, thus minimizing the risk of rust. I'm quite pleased, but couldn't justify five stars. ... show more
