This blanket works great! I purchased it for the winters since I have a soft top Jeep wrangler. It’s become an essential item for cold winter days. Easy plug in, takes about 3-5 minutes to really heat up. It’s very soft and warm.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He hasn't installed his automatic start yet (Christmas present from last year), and his ride to work is short so the truck didn't always heat up enough by the time he needs to leave. We live in the midwest so the winters can get pretty cold. He goes out to start his truck and this is plugged into the cigarette lighter and it heats up nicely for when he sits down he puts it over his lap and underneath him so he's wrapped in warmth in the legs as he drives to work. It is true you cannot adjust the temperature as it plugs into the cigarette lighter, so it's either on or off. It's not supposed to be the equivalent of a heating blanket but it is a great little product and he loves it and he's happy with it, so I'm very happy with it. Ok, I see alot of negative reviews for the 12volt blanket. A lot saying it dosent get hot, or it's not that warm. First off , this is a 12volt blanket, made of polyester. These 12 volt blanket aren't made to heat up like a house electric blanket. There 12 volt. They do what 12 volts can do..These blankets aren't going to defrost meat lol. You use this blanket to maintain your body heat, so hyperthermia dosent set in. They'll keep you alive if stranded in your car in severe cold weather. Their not powerfull enough for you to enjoy a tropical paradise of comfort. Use common sense. Use the blanket before youre stone cold. This is a 12volt blanket. Expectations of a home electric blanket is ridiculous. Once you understand that ,you'll realize this is a excellent 12volt blanket for the price. ... show more

Purchased in March and this is the second trip I’ve used it for and the blanket quit working. It was kept in the car storage compartment when not being used, and when it was being used it wasn’t for a long period of time. Pros: Soft, nice color way, and not very heavy. When it works the temperature is fine, but it could be warmer. Cons: Quit working during the second road trip we used it on. There isn’t an on/off button or temperature control. I get very cold, so keeping a warming blanket in the car for road trips is a must for me. I do not recommend this blanket due to the longevity and lack of durability. ... show more

Doesn't get super warm and doesn't heat evenly. But, if you have a portable power station with a 12v dc car plug, this will run for about 5 hours on a 270 watt hour power station. I wouldn't trust this thing to save your life if you're dealing with sub-zero temperatures but if you're doing some camping or some car camping this could be a good option. ... show more

I bought this for a friend who does not have a warmer in her car to keep the seats warm in the winter, and she said, this works wonderful laying over her and makes her. It feels so much better when she's out in the car. I also got myself one and I like to be able to lay it on my lap as I drive.
