My 2017 pioneer 1000-5 had the oem rubber cover “cabin comfort kit installed. It helped but this kit is a noticeable difference! Doesn’t eliminate the heat but helps reflect most of it away from the front seat and rear seat footwells. Straightforward installation. This does get difficult to get the plastic pushpins back in, especially the part around the seatbelts. I ended up leaving some of the pushpins out in that area. I’ve been on a few rides and everything seems fine. The bottom seat holds that large plastic part in place anyway the rear foot well heat shield is really only for the right rear passenger. The exhaust runs right through this area and you end up sticking the heat shielded around the right foot well area. ... show more

    • Not a good fit
It fits a 2018 Honda pioneer 1000-5 deluxe however the holes for the pins are too big so it won’t stay in place. I had to place the rubber cover that came w the bike on top the shields then push pins in; and there’s no front holes, I had to make my own.

    • Really cuts seat heating
Honda Pioneers have a little excess heat that permeates the seat especially the passengers side as that is where the exhaust is located. This easy to install heat barrier kit really cuts the heat down. The insulation is durable and very easy to place the pieces.

    • Very disappointed in the design.
I have a 2021 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 with 50 hours on it. I would not recommend this heat shield. Not one of the holes lined up for installation. Had large die cut holes in several places. The holes will not reflect the heat away from under the seat. The heat shield is delamating from itself. I had to purchased foil tape to seal the split joints in two places. No way this heat shield is worth 100$. The two heat shield under the back seat had to be modified to fit. Only had enough shield for one side. Just saying, I would not buy this product again or recommend it. There has to be a better product out there. ... show more
