  • Great Read
Format: Kindle
Heat Redacted is an absolute explosion of color, emotion, and metaphor and honestly, I didn’t see it coming. This story centers on a truly unique Omega scent-blind, shaped by past trauma, and experiencing the world through synesthesia which makes for a fascinating and unconventional perspective. Add a punk rock band of fiercely protective Alphas known as Riot Theory? Chaos. Chemistry. And a story that demands your attention. This is the third (or fourth, depending on how you count) book in the series, and if you’ve enjoyed the previous installments, you’ll definitely want to pick this one up. We first met Zia in Cassie’s story, and she immediately intrigued me so seeing her finally take center stage felt long overdue. This is her book, and she definitely has her moment to shine. The Alphas? I loved them. Their strong instincts, loyalty, and constant focus on making sure Zia feels safe, comfortable, and prioritized shine throughout the story. The chemistry is solid, and their dynamic feels intentional and meaningful. I did have some mixed feelings early on. Zia initially came across as a bit distant compared to other FMCs in the series, which made it slightly harder for me to emotionally connect at first. The pack dynamic is also different from what I’m used to, and there’s a fair amount of technical and clinical language that occasionally pulled me out of the story. But. The character growth, emotional development, and relationship dynamics made the journey worthwhile. Despite the technical talk that I was completely clueless about, I ended up loving this book. The chemistry, the devotion, the way the guys would go out of their way to ensure Zia always came first Furniture or wall? had me smiling hard. If you enjoy stories that push genre boundaries and offer something a little different, Heat Redacted is definitely worth a read. 📌 Voluntary review no compensation. Just one reader who was unexpectedly drawn in and swept up by Riot Theory. ... show more

  • For the neurodivergent, those on the spectrum, nerds and geeks
Format: Kindle
If you have a problem with tech-speak this may not be for you. For the rest of us it is quirkiness at its finest. Took off a star for a huge plot hole that will only be obvious to you who read Omega Stream Book 2. Very like able characters. No secondary plot twist. Just plain enjoyment.

  • Scent Blind Omega and Obsessive Scent Matched Alphas
Format: Kindle
Zia Vale has always stayed in the Shadows not wanting to be known. Especially by any Alphas. On the plus for her she is Scent Blind so even she passed her Scent Match in the street or bumped into him in a blackout she wouldn't even know it.... but they would! But when an opportunity comes along for her to tour with the band Riot Theory and be their producer/mix fixer She doesn't immediately jump at the chance! After all she wants to remain anonymous and keep her identity a secret and just be known as FoxTail! But they establish boundaries to make her feel safe and welcome, but when her Heat approaches and the suppressants no longer want to work, shes gonna need to set some rules while she can before shes too delirious to have a say!!! Loved this!!! It had alot of technical talk that I'm completely clueless about but the book and the chemistry and the way the guys would go out of their way to make she came first, in all ways, and make sure was comfortable and safe!!! Furniture or Wall!!! Loved it!!! Statiscical Unicorn indeed!!! ... show more

  • And interesting read that relate sound industry to consent and bonding
Format: Kindle
Heat Redacted: Omega Stream #3 by Helen Scott and Zoey Shelby is another unique omegaverse focused on streaming. This one follows Zia who made an appearance in past books. Zia is scent blind and has very strict boundaries. She's an amazing sound engineer that happens to be an omega. This series follows Omegas as they change the standards in the industry. Riot Theory hires Zia and discovers she's their scent match. While trying to show her respect they push her away. However as they create new protocols focused on consent Zia begins to understand that they truly respect her and see her as more than just an omega that needs to be handled. Can they prove they are more than biology and find anway to show.Zia they care without giving in to their alpha instincts and Can Zia find a way to trust them and stay? This entire series is quite unique as the alphas and omegas aren't stereotypical in their roles and behaviors. I enjoyed the realism and how easy it is to relate to the situations in a similar way to those that have sought for equal rights due to their race, gender, religion, or sexuality. Zia has synesthesia, she sees sounds as colors and images. This really adds an interesting dimension to the book, which already has a focus on music. I also really liked the focus on consent and boundaries and the many ways they practiced it. The language was a little dry at times and a little analytical but it works with Zia and the band's personalities. Some of it can be a bit confusing for those not familiar with music and engineering. This story has off the charts chemistry. It's a slow burn that shows the importance of building trust. If you enjoy why choose omegaverses with themes of consent where Omegas have the control then Heat Redacted is for you. ... show more

  • “MEETING ADJOURNED, “ZIA WHISPERED.
Format: Kindle
How do you manage your life when as an Omega it is always about your biology and your heat, instead of your talent. Zia has hidden who she was for years and used medications to control her heats. Then one day she gets a call to help out a musical group. Her fears has her ready to run at a moments notice. This intelligent story shows how with the right understanding, kindness that you can write a contract to acknowledge a person for their gifts not their biology. You will love the different personalities of Euan, Alfie and Kit each one bringing to the story in words and actions that could possibly get Zia to stay and not run just because they are alphas. I loved the protocols that were set up and adjustment to clauses of the contract as they tour with Zia as their producer. ... show more
